Charged a final value fee for an item I didn't sell

So I am very angry at this point. A few weeks ago I was suspended from ebay for 2 weeks for receiving an offer in my messages. Even though I rejected the offer; ebay still suspended my account. Now that is utter **bleep** in and of itself. Now today I am even angrier. I got an email saying that my bank account has reached zero dollars and now I owe a fee of 15 dollars to my bank. Who charged my bank account? well it was ebay. I received a final value fee of 60 dollars for an item that I didn't even sell. That is purely ridiculous and I have no intention of paying this amount. It doesnt help that ebay customer service is almost impossible of getting ahold. If someone could message me about this that would be great.

If you got an overdraft fee of $15.00, then you have already paid this fee.

The pattern is, first you get a warning, then you get 3 days suspension, then you get 7 days suspension.  Possibly the next suspension is the one you got, two weeks.  They may or may not go to a month after that, with permanent suspension waiting in the wings at any time.

I was selling the item for a friend. The item is a phone. Her phone recently stopped working and she wanted me to give her the one I had listed for her as a temporary fix. She ended up getting her old one fixed though. So i just reuploaded the phone.

A really unfortunate chain of events as it gave the appearance of selling off Ebay, since you pulled the listing after receiving those messages asking to buy off Ebay.  Maybe she will reimburse you or at least split the fee with you, since she is a friend.  If there is a next time, just say you cannot end the listing, for your own protection.    

It is surprising that you got a two week suspension and a fee charged because that doesn't happen unless you have been warned and had two prior suspensions of a lesser duration~so three prior occurrences.  So sorry.

Ok. Here is the exact exchange between me and the seller. Please keep in mind this was after I had already been suspended for my previous exchange.

Message: What price would you love to sell this item?Pls reply asap

Me: The current buy it now price is the price I am looking to sell it for.

Message: Thanks for the reply,I will pay $550 including shipping fee via USPS EXPRESS Delivery to Miami Florida. Pls, kindly send me a PayPal money request to my email below for me to make out the payment. (paypal posted here). Kind Regards

Me: I am letting you know that it is against Ebay policy to discuss sales outside of Ebay. If you wish to purchase my item, please do so within Ebay's guidelines. If you wish to buy my item for 520 dollars you can do so by making a bid.

Message: I already tried the buy it now on ebay, but am getting an invalid reply so i want you send me a PayPal money request if you agree with my offered price so i can make out the payment right away.

Me: Well I apologize if it is not working but I can get in trouble for not following ebays terms of service. Also there are too many scammers to trust you. Sorry.

5 days later i received the bill, or the invoice or whatever. But i have had a handful of other people message me doing the same thing. now about a month ago I did accept one of the offers. I then received my warning from ebay saying I would get suspended if I tried to sell outside of ebay again and the transaction was not completed. Ever since then I have not ONCE accepted an offer from another person out of fear for the exact thing that is happening to me now.

if you read my newest post you can see that a day after being rejected he messaged me again asking asking how much I wanted for the item. If you read it it makes a lot more sense.

sorry for my mistake. Checking my messages I see I was only suspended for one week. However I was never given a three day suspension. Ive actually never heard of that. But yeah my mistake.

That sounds like a guest buyer. 

OP, I know you said you have been careful but you really do need to be super careful so you don't lose your selling privileges.  Stay safe.

You were sanctioned a second time.
