Charged a final value fee for an item I didn't sell

So I am very angry at this point. A few weeks ago I was suspended from ebay for 2 weeks for receiving an offer in my messages. Even though I rejected the offer; ebay still suspended my account. Now that is utter **bleep** in and of itself. Now today I am even angrier. I got an email saying that my bank account has reached zero dollars and now I owe a fee of 15 dollars to my bank. Who charged my bank account? well it was ebay. I received a final value fee of 60 dollars for an item that I didn't even sell. That is purely ridiculous and I have no intention of paying this amount. It doesnt help that ebay customer service is almost impossible of getting ahold. If someone could message me about this that would be great.

There's a difference between DIDN'T SELL and SOLD, BUT BUYER DIDN'T PAY.  In the latter case, the seller has to open an unpaid item case within 32 days of the end of the auction in order to have his final value fees refunded.

Did you have an item that was not paid by the buyer, but forgot to open a case?

Did you remove the item from eBay immediately after receiving the offer and your messages?

No, the item is still up.

That is the rule when they decide you are selling items off site.  Since you got into trouble before for the same thing, then you would be on notice. 

I just got a warning also and am on notice that the next time I will be charged a fvf for the item.   I didn't sell off site and thought my message to the potential buyer was clear, but I guess not.  Now I'm afraid to even answer questions.

Actually the first time I did remove the item and that was when i was suspended. But it has been several weeks now and I am just now receiving this fee. I have received messages from several bots though asking to buy my item. All of which I have rejected.

Same. I think its completely unethicle for ebay to charge people with no confirmation of a sale. A real person should go over the message before the bot automatically charges you.

THAT'S why. you remove the item so eBay assumed that you had sold it off site

I have received offers outside of ebay on my messaged which I have rejected. As well as an offer on ebay that was retracted from the buyer after a couple hours I don't know which I was charged for but I assume it was from the messages.

Yes, my first inclination was to just ignore.

But I believe one of the blues said you should reply and tell the buyer you will not sell off line as it is against policy.  If I am remembering correctly, that will protect you.

If they were suspended for an offer to sell off ebay and then delisted the item, they've probably been charged a fee for "selling it off ebay".

You would have to call eBay and ask...however they will not refund the money out right they will just add a credit to your account

Maybe ebay shouldn't assume things. I have my Item still listed on my account again so there's some sort of proof that I didn't sell it. As well as all my replies to the scammers telling them I wouldnt sell outsside of ebay.
