You will have to find anything at almost free in order to make money after paying for shipping and Ebay fees and taxes.

You want your competition to tell you what and where to buy items so you can compete and undercut their prices?  you want them to sell, pack and ship the items too and send you the money?

Sorry but that is the fun part figuring out what to buy to flip. We all did our due diligence, now it is your turn. learn from your mistakes.

I have enough competition without inviting more, thanks, and the arm I use to hold silver platters is a bit sore at the moment. So you will have to do your own homework, legwork, and gruntwork.

I recommend drop shipping cheap items from communist China, new Apple products, new Playstation devices,.

You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious.

It depends of "what" you intend to sell.

Have a close friend who sells headlights, taillights, fog lamps, etc.

Every Wed after the auction ends and units are flat-bedded to the local scrap yards, he spends 5-6 hours assessing new arrivals, removing viable parts to sell and buying those for re-sale.

Another friend sells handmade windchimes, made from re-purposed items found at scrap yards, etc.  He sells them online and locally.

My favorite is my 87 year young neighbor, who just had a birthday.  He collects items daily from freecycle - cleans them up, rehabs them, applies TLC to a once loved item and re-sells it on e-Bay or locally.  I bought a $12 shop vac from him recently and a $4 radio.  He sees "potential" in every item he finds.

Good luck on your selling journey.

Know what you sell, sell what you know.

Existing sellers don't want new sellers listing identical items at the same or lower price.

That being said, I hoarded RadioShack merchandise that I bought from eBay sellers. I sorted that chaos into like items and listed it as Fixed-Price Buy-It-now with many units per listing. I also go to automotive salvage yards and pull parts of cars to sell on eBay.

It is actually a rather simple concept.

For one thing there are thousands of online auctions of all kinds running at any one time. Go to one of them, pick out some items, use terapeak to see what the items have been selling for on ebay then bid low enough to make a decent profit, this same method can be used at yard sales, facebook marketplace, flea markets and anywhere else items are sold.

This method is a lot of hard work but it does bring results.

actually finding good items to sell is what I consider the fun and easy part, actually getting them listed is the hard part.

I stay away from all the in demand products, to much competition.

Have a great day.

Yeah!  @inhawaii is HOME!  WOOT WOOT WOOT!

That said, we don't play well with others who want our supply information.  Do your own research.

@bonddm_07

Right now I'm having very good luck with converse sneakers and retro boom boxes. License plates have remained high also.

I work 2x weekly in a thrift shop and have for over 8 years, you never know what is coming thru those doors!

You just have to get out there and look, I used to think well I won't buy this because I might get stuck with it. Not anymore, if I doesn't sell, it's donated to my thrift. I'm taking chances now.

I sell mostly used and vintage items of various sorts. My primary sources are yard sales, estate sales, rummage sales, thrift and consignment shops, antique shops , flea markets, vendor malls, and library used book sales.

What is in demand?  I'm not a good person to ask. My stuff is long tail, meaning there may be demand for it, but it is generally not widespread demand.
