Tonight, I got word that I had sold an item.
When I got home - there was an eBay email from someone claiming to be the buyer asking that I forward the item to another address. This 'buyer' has no feedback and just created their account yesterday.
Is there a fraud department that I can contact via phone?

Good catch.
Some sellers fall for that scam.
No big deal.
Ignore the scammer and report it when you have time.

Was the person who sent you a message the same username as the person who bought your item?

No - it's obviously a scammer. I just tried to report it to eBay but the cutoff time is 10PM - I missed the deadline by3 minutes.
Will have to wait til morning.

You can report them but you're only playing whack-a-mole. eBay can't stop them from popping up on diferent names.

I’ve gotten these. Usually I send a reply stating I only send to the address supplied by ebay. If they need the item sent to another address I tell them to request a cancel through eBay, then correct their address and rebuy the item.
I never hear from them again. But on the off chance they are legit giving them the information on how to fix their address might save headaches later on.
I don’t bother trying to report them to Ebay. Waste of my time as ebay won’t do anything.
