I got a notification saying “Buyer Paid $0. Time To Ship!”. When I weeny in the app it just says buyer paid. Should I ship or is the buyer a scammer?

@not_too_hype As suggested by @itsjustasprain (I don't know how one 'weenies' either), you need to go find out without the app (which is notorious for not functioning properly) if you have actually been paid. Log into your eBay account without using a link/app and check.
Do let us know what you find out. Others are worried you are being set up for some "fake payment" scam when it can simply be an app misfunction.

I got that a few days ago. It was a $25 stamp set. It said in my email they had paid and ready to ship (with amounts) but the eBay app said it was $0.
I logged into eBay and checked the transactions and the money was processing. Since I only ship once or twice a week, no harm waiting, a day later it moved to completed. The money was never reversed or removed.
I think this might just be a glitch with the app.

Where did this notification appear?
When it happened to me, it was the eBay app. I don't give my email and contact info to anyone. All other sources indicated that the buyer did actually pay and I did receive the money. (I check my payment transactions very carefully a couple of times a week to catch anything that's off).

This happened to me about two weeks ago - it's definitely a glitch. I was concerned the money was paid and immediately reversed, but I found no evidence of any such thing. I waited a day to make sure it went from processing to completed, it was all good.
My advice to the OP is to log into the desktop app and check under payments, once it's completed (with no reversal of the transaction), it's definitely good to go. It should be good while in processing, but I was erring on the side of caution when I waited a day or two before I shipped.

Yes, never keep more than $100 cash in your web browser.
