Winning bidder received a message that the item is out of stock and wouldn’t allow her to pay so I can ship it. I have the item to ship. This is a single item. How can this be fixed so she can pay and I can send her the item? I sent and invoice and asked her to try via the eBay website instead of the app. I haven’t received a reply yet. Thanks

How did she get in touch with you? Any request for texting or paying through PP etc?

She messaged me thru eBay, included a screenshot & didn’t request going outside of eBay.

The 'Out of Stock' message indicates that the buyer is going to the listing and trying to Purchase the item a second time. I doubt she wants two of the same item.
What she really needs to do is pay for what she has already purchased, but not paid for yet.
Encourage her to go her shopping cart, complete checkout and send payment.

Be sure to follow-up because if it's a glitch or a programming error, you'll be charged 5% more in FVF and will end when the system wants to. Not just one time. Out-of-Stock is a big deal here! Good luck!

I had the same thing happen on Sunday. Buyer wanted to buy an item, placed her order but the payment wouldn't work. It then showed out of stock on her end yet it showed a quantity of 1 on my end. Never did get it to clear up. Finally had to end the listing and then create a new listing using sell similar and send her the new auction number. She was then able to re-purchase and pay. There must be some sort of glitch happening in the system.

Happen last week to me, its some kind of glitch. Had to cancel and relist, ebay didn't believe me because they could duplicate it. I got lucky and they cancel right after paying because it told them it was out of stock so saved me .30

It was an auction listing that ended. She shouldn’t be able to purchase it again, right? eBay told be she should be able to pay from the invoice. She said she cannot & that eBay is investigating. It’s weird because I’ve listed other items the same way with no issues before.

eBay is investigating. eBay rep told me she should be able to pay from the invoice, but she cannot.
Also, how can feedback be left before the transaction is completed? She gave me a neutral feedback before I could respond to her message and try to resolve. ☹️

Find out WHY it says you are out of stock.
If you have one but your listing quantity shows "0" then simply change the quantity to "1".
Simple.

As others suggested work with your buyer and cancel the order using buyer requested which is valid since the item is not really out of stock and the buyer is unable to pay for it due to the glitch.
Create a custom listing using something like Custom Listing in the title, use BIN with immediate payment required and when the buyer is ready post the listing and provide them with the item number. There is a small risk that another buyer may snatch up the item but I have done Custom listings for several buyers that requested bundled packages and have never had any problem. The key is working closely with the buyer.

I just had the same issue from a buyer. I ended up sending an invoice and they were able to pay. During the same time period, another buyer had no issue paying.
