We're trying to figure out what is going on with the Bulk Edit function. All 200 of our listings have valid quantities. All 200 of our listings have the correct UPC included. None of our listings have any errors associated with them. When we attempt to do a mass mark-down of 30%, the tool shows us error messages for nearly all of our listings. We contacted eBay CS and they sent it in as a bug ticket. CS told us to revise the pricing for our listings one by one -- which we can do, but it may take a few days to accomplish. Until we are able to mark-down our Spring/Summer 18 goods, we really can't start listing the Fall 18 items. Attached are images of the issues we're seeing. Is any one else seeing these same problems? Here is the full error list:

Quantity is not valid. (195)

The UPC field is missing. (195)

The Buy It Now price must be greater than or equal to US $0.99. (2)

Price is not valid. (5)

Duplicate variation specifics (144)

Missing name in name-value list. (195)

Quantity is not valid for an item with variations (195)

No. It's the same story as of this morning. I can't imagine that this isn't affecting lots of people trying to use the tool.

We're really disappointed with the effort from eBay on this one.

Hi @dhbookds, I can confirm that the OPs issue is being investigated by our tech teams for a resolution. Though I don't have an update to provide at the moment, I will be happy to pass along any additional information if updates occur!

The reason seems to be because the editing tool adds variation lines to the listing (see screen shot). To replicate this go to bulk edit and select a few items to update. This will fail with the errors previously shown in post so you will have to cancel updates. Then select edit again for a few items and then select individually (as shown in screen shot) and you will see blank item variations have been added which gives the errors. I don’t know how to relay this info to eBay technical does anyone else?

I have the same issue since 1-2 weeks. I contacted ebay at least 10 times, and they don't give a f*** to solve this problem. They ask me to fill the fields, and I filled them, but the errors still appear. Same errors (only on listings with variations):

Quantity is not valid. (195) --- i have valid quantities

The UPC field is missing. (195) --- i fillled upcs

The Buy It Now price must be greater than or equal to US $0.99. (2) --- i never had prices below $1.10

Price is not valid. (5) --- price is valid.

Duplicate variation specifics (144) --- these duplications appears automatically (only) after i try to edit quantity on bulk.

Missing name in name-value list. (195) --- there is no such field

If I edit my items one-by-one, then no errors.
If I enter the bulk editing tool, and try for example update the quantity, then I suddenly rereive these errors, and extra rows on variations. Then I tried to delete extra rows, by clicking on "Delete", but it doesn't help. When I check that listing again, the extra rows will be there again...

If you check screenshot "0002.jpg" you'll see, that there are fields that should be elsewhere.
There should not be price-like format (0.00) in Quantity column.
There should not be numbers ("8") on Color column.

I think it must be a database error.

I can't even normally communicate with ebay, because every time I give an answer to their email, it will be read/replied by someone else, and he/she doesn't have insight on the whloe proble, so I have to start to explain it over and over again. I even uploaded a video on youtube about this problem.

They're only writing me the (already known by everybody) steps, how to f***kin' Edit items ink bulk. They're horrible. They don't want to solve problems, they just want to answer an email as quickly as they can, so they can have a coffee break...

I have been having the same problem since the beginning of August, sent screenshots to Ebay CS, today is Sep-5.
Nothing is done. They won't even acknowledge that the problem exists. Really bad..

Me too. As of this moment. Not fixed.

Variations are being added and then kvetched about for having null values.

Good thing this isn't an internet company, or they'd be in trouble.

Semi-cross-posting, but I think this is valuable info for people having this problem:

I finally got a competent eBay rep, and they said the following: On August 27th the bug was reported, expect 60 days to fix. Of course, this bug was plainly visible long before that, acknowledged by some eBay employees, and won't be fixed in 60 days (I'm 4 years into the show-stopping "Mixture of self-hosted and EPS" bug not being fixed), but there you have it.

Chat support is absolutely useless. Bulk editing quantity for different variations I have gives lots of errors. Instead of increasing quantity the editor adds extra variations to my listing. Person on Chat had no idea how to do this and finished by telling me there was no option to increase quantity in bulk. Will try again later and call phone support.

We gave up. After dozens of calls, it just wasn't worth waiting any longer. We used the simple revise tool and made price revisions on our listings one by one. What should have taken 1-2 minutes to accomplish with the Bulk Edit Tool, ended up taking us about 8 hours.

Really disappointed with eBay on this one. 😞

Poor effort, eBay.

Yes, I'm really disappointed, too. Im definitely won't accept it to edit them one-by-one. That would take hours every single day. I'm considering to leave ebay. They don't value real sellers.

It's been going on for over a month now and I've posted about it and written eBay numerous times, it blows my mind that this huge tech company won't fix this. The problem is that the bulk editing tool is not importing the UPC, Quantity, etc into the correct fields.

Click on Variations [edit] inside the bulk editor to see what I mean. I don't think that field shows up by default, you first need to add it using the "customize columns" link.

I have the same problem. I got tired of waiting and had to update them all one by one. Took hours.

Customer service was terrible and pretty useless. They told me to clear my cookies or try a new web browser! Excellent work eBay!

I guess it will never get fixed. Really bad service on this. I would be fired from my 9-5 job if I provided the level of service and effort that ebay provided on this.
