Did you mean:

Block buyer option in the return details page

Remember a long time ago when you were issuing a refund for a return there used to be an option within those pages to block the buyer?

Why did ebay remove that option thus making it more tedious for sellers to block the buyer? (that's really a rhetorical since I probably already know the answer). I wish they put that little link back into the return details pages.

Click Click Click Click Click, copy buyer name, paste buyer name, press comma and space, Click. Blocked. Rant over.

How long does it take to block a  buyer by the current system?

Longer than it took for ebay to remove that function out of the returns page.

Actually I also recall that option being available in your Sold items page too in the Actions menu of each sale, Gone now.

I would like to see a check box on the report buyer page to add the buyer to ones Best Buddy List.

Ditto.

I can't remember, did they have that before as well and ebay removed all these convenient links to add to BBL at the same time? I recall for the returns page, the option was available at the last page once the refund has been issued and completed something like "click here to block this buyer." And clicking it automatically adds that buyer into the BBL field of your BBL page.

Re: Block buyer option in the return details page

To my recollection, it never existed on the report buyer page. Probably because that's too logical and eBay has their own brand of "logic" they employ.

It was removed from the actions drop down on the orders page a long time ago (they've added so much new stuff, I assume they removed what they felt was unnecessary or under-utilized). That doesn't bother me so much that it was removed from the actions drop down.

But I agree with you it should exist within the returns flow if you reported an issue. I don't remember it all that well because typically I'd block the buyer before I got to the refund stage.

That is, I used to block early before eBay started blocking communications on BBL additions.

I'm really hating on eBay this week. Don't get me started. 😂

Just make a shortcut on your "overview page".  I added a picture.Screen Shot 2024-01-23 at 6.43.31 PM.png

Re: Block buyer option in the return details page

Yep, did that years ago although it's usually faster to go to my browser bookmark than go through the shortcut on the hub overview page. Those of us complaining want eBay to make it easier so we can get these abusive buyers out of sight and out of mind with little to no effort as we're already dealing with their antics. 😉

That 'shortcut' was already in my Shortcuts Box in Seller Hub... came that way.
