I have 5 stores on eBay. All in good standing. Been on eBay for 25years. For the past year I have had items taken down...because of "Policy Violations"
The items that were taken down are in no way offensive. In fact there are the same items (hundreds of them) posted by other sellers....
At first I thought, it's just random...that they picked mine and no one else's. But this last one, a Facebook t shirt really started me thinking....When I called customer service they blamed it on AI....that it just picks one. Interesting.....it just happened to be mine.
What my thought is now....I am being discriminated against. I hate to throw this out there, but I think I may know the reason. Ebay is getting into very dangerous territory.....I think eBay needs to fix their AI? If this is true.... and just not an answer they give you to get you off this phone..... Rules should be for everyone....not just a few eBay is picking out......

What policy are the listings violating, according to the messages when they're taken down?
Do they violate that policy?
Never go off what other sellers have listed, as they simply may not have been caught yet. It's like speeders on a highway, often many do not get caught either at any given time or possibly not at all, but that doesn't excuse you if you are caught speeding.

I do NOT know this as a fact, but if you have been subject to takedowns for policy violations, you may be subject to more checks than a seller who has not had any......

With respect to the matter raised, does eBay act competently just some of the time when it could do soore often ?, obviously yes
Can eBay selectively enforce it's own rules ?
Yes

I can't get past the part where you state you have 5 stores. Do you really pay for five different stores?

My question for my own education is why would someone have 5 stores? Are they different accounts?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
and OP paying for a store with just 43 items listed? (201 sold) (2 in last 90 days)

The reason on the violation was selling outside of eBay....so that really did not make sense. I have never done that. Ever. When I question the 1st customer service agent, they could not answer. So they transferred me....and that was when I was told it was done by AI?

I can assure you. If you have one account, the best way to double your sales is to get two

So what exactly were the items that were removed? If you can be specific we might be able to get a better idea of what eBay had a problem with.

I see a whole lot of listings with Brand Names in the titles. Those are RED FLAGS for the VERO bots.
You might want to review those before they get taken down too.
There are some companies that simply DO NOT want their products sold on eBay. They believe it cheapens their products.

In the take down notice it would have given you one or more very specific reasons why it was being taken down.
along with an "appeal" process that I have used successfully in the past.

Any links (embedded or otherwise) in those pulled listings?
A. I. can (right or wrong) interpret a "link" as "intending to sell outside of eBay"

You are not being targeted or discriminated against. For you to think so is ridiculous.

You can't sell pajamas and spark plugs with the same username. Duh!
