Automated feedback question

You know typically how when the same buyer leaves multiple feedback comments for a seller within the same calendar week (Monday-Sunday, PT), it all counts as one single feedback point towards the seller's score. What happens if say the automated system leaves the feedbacks for the buyer all at once, then two weeks later the buyer comes in and manually leaves feedback for only one of their purchases and leaves the other feedbacks as automated? That means the timestamp on the manual feedback has changed and is no longer within the same calendar week as the rest of the automated feedbacks, right? Thus, all of the feedbacks left by that same buyer will now count as two feedback points instead of one assuming that the manual feedback is a positive one, correct?

Automated feedback question

The entire 'Calendar Week' thing is 'when purchased' and has NOTHING to do with 'when feedback was left'.

Mystery solved.

Automated feedback question

Sorry but I don't understand why calendar week matters.  Never heard of EBAY limiting feedback to once per week, per customer.

When my customers leave feedback, my feedback score increases for every transaction that occurred.   If your customer "does not leave feedback" EBAY will automatically give you positive feedback (for every transaction).

Think again my friend. You can check this yourself in your feedback page. 😀

Automated feedback question

You know after reading the verbiage in my screenshot I think I answered my own question. It’s not that they exclude additional feedbacks when they are left within the same week, but it’s excluded when the date of purchase is made within the same week. The day the feedback is posted is irrelevant.

@iamalwaysright

On the other hand, there is a related but slightly different question that has not been answered.

If multiple purchases at one time (or within a calendar week) from one buyer have automated feedback left, it only counts as one feedback.

But if the buyer then leaves feedback for one of the items but not the others, does that get counted as two feedbacks? One left by the buyer, and the others because they were left by eBay?

I don't think here's any existing policy that would answer this.

I can't test it myself, because although I have 3 recent purchases that got automatic feedback, they were from a mega book seller who gets more feedback every few seconds. So I could replace one of the automatic feedbacks with a manual feedback, but I wouldn't be able to confirm if it was counted extra or not.

Yea ebay is such a big beast there’s lots of policy and info hiding within its nooks and crannies that I’m sure I’ve never even heard of.
