Auto relisting

Can someone please explain why and how this is happening? I was just  reading another thread, and the seller was being advised to call a supervisor or their account could be suspended for life.

How is this auto relist happening?  I have 600 listings, how can I find out if it's happening to me?

I looked at the thread.

Are you having to do a lot of cancellations for OOS items?

No, but I see this kind of thing happening to other sellers. Now I'm worried it will happen to me. If things are being auto relisted, I want to know how and why. I do not want this to happen to me.

It is always a great idea to stay vigilant with all things Ebay.  But there is no need to be worried or concerned that this might happen to you.  Life throws us many things to worry about from time to time.  Why would you add another concern that is NOT even affecting you at this point?  You are worrying about something that is not necessary to worry about.  Of course stay vigilant, we should all do that.  But take it OFF your worry list and just work on getting more sales.

On that thread that you provided a link to earlier.  The OP of that thread really did not give enough detail on what was happening to them.  It may be an Ebay glitch as I've heard similar things from other sellers, but with the way the OP presented the information on that thread, their problem may have very well been pilot error.

Just stay vigilant, but stop worrying.  The chance is high that you are going to be just fine.

Anytime I had any issue or question that I needed resolved I called customer support.  Every rep I have ever talked to was very friendly and knowledgeable.  Plus have all the information about your account right at their fingertips.

Re: Auto relisting

I don't see why your listings auto relisting would be grounds for an account suspension.

Especially if they're doing that because you're using the new Quick Listing tool.

There has to be some missing information from what you posted.  There are millions and millions and millions of sellers that have listings that auto relist.  They are called GTC listing [good til cancelled].  So there is something else going on.

There is no way to call a "supervisor" that I'm aware of.  So if you know how that is accomplished, please share.

Re: Auto relisting

mam you apparently are not aware that eBay has changed the new quick listing tool so that the seller cannot change the duration on FP listings and they will ALL relist until sold or cancelled (just like GTC).

I think this is what the thread was referring to. The sellers sold items are being automatically relisted, and they don't have the inventory. So, when the item sells again, no inventory = defect.

I would like to know how this is happening, so I can make sure it doesn't happen to me.

Re: Auto relisting

Even on the forced GTC on the new Quick Listing Tool, listings shouldn't relist automatically once they're sold. Now if they're relisting automatically and reverting MQ Fixed Price listings to the original qty then there's a serious problem.

@lookng2015

Thank you, but I am aware of this.

The OP has a store [most likely a Premium store] and is not likely to be affected by what you have stated.

Hi,

So can you tell me if this kind of thing would happen to me? Yes, I have a premium store.

Thank you!
