Twice 2night I logged out of this account and tried logging into my buying account and got a message from AVG that they aborted my log in because www.ebay.com was Infected with JS:REDIRECTOR-BKG {TRJ}?? Any other AVG users getting this message?

I think you may be misunderstanding what it's telling you. It's detected that your machine is not actually taking you to eBay, but has a local infection that's rerouting your browser's destination to a hostile site, probably with a fake eBay login on it.
Try logging in to eBay from a different computer and you will probably see no such warning. The problem is in your computer, and you may want to run any and all virus scans/cleanups available to you, presumably starting with AVG (as it's found something already). Good luck.

I got it too with avast, several times today.
Ran mbam, superantispyware and full virus scans and thankfully all came up clean.
Clicking on the same ebay icon on my desktop that I've been using Forever.

Same here, using Avast. It happened about a year ago and was posted in the forums, back then it was most likely a false positive by Avast. I followed the steps from that thread and it seems to be working:
1. Delete all internet cache
2. Search "ebay sign in" in your google search and create a new link for your sign in (don't use your old sign in link)
If that doesn't help, try going into your control panel as well and clicking on your Java and delete that info as well.

Thanks, tried all that minus I can't find Java in my control panel at all so, no could do there.
Try to steer clear of it due to hearing it can be problematic but I think it can not be avoided at times.
Just tried another post before this one and I I got a red banner saying something about Java script not being enabled so THAT post would not work.
Did run a full advanced Boot scan with avast a while ago and it quarantined a Java OrangeB trj. in 4 places, hope this is a false positive for all our sakes !

I got the warning twice yesterday afternoon and again just now running Avast. The problem is within ebay, but will take several weeks for them to realize it...

I got the same thing with google chrome windows 7 avast and google chrome on a samsung tablet. Also got a page not found for the community link from ebay's front page and page not found when trying to sign on to the community. Seems to be working now.

I haven't been to the ebay home page since they changed it to the pinterest/inyourfacebook style page.
Probably one of the ads on there is bad. Who knows if ebay actually verifies them or if they just collect money for them regardless.

Someone should report this to eBay. I use avast and bitdefender and I'm seeing none of that.

Has anyone run a Malware scan?.........beyond the AVG program? I've had Malwarebytes find the redirects that AVG hasn't.
