I believe you need to speak with kayomi@ebay . She will probably contact you after she sees this tag.

Re: Anyone know how to start a regional group in my area?

Is there any real known benefit from starting a regional eBay group in my own area, New York City?

There's already a regional group in NYC. Maybe you should attend one of the group's meetings to see if you find it beneficial @jewelbiz .

The next meeting is specific to social media so if that's not your thing maybe try the one after. From what I can see, they meet once a month and the seller that runs it has a lot of experience with eBay.

Re: Anyone know how to start a regional group in my area?

The meet up in nyc is in November and unfortunately entry already is filled up, closed.

Don’t have any idea how this thing works but wondering if nyc, a big location, could be better served with more than 1 selling group especially if it’s finished closed having members at a meeting 1 month from now!

Just wondering…

Yes, large cities probably would benefit from having more than 1 meeting. I believe you can sign up to attend the NYC meeting virtually. I'm suggesting it just so you can see what it's about and gauge whether it's right for you - maybe you can connect with the seller that runs that meeting to ask her questions about what's involved.

Re: Anyone know how to start a regional group in my area?

Hi kayomi@ebay  Sorry to hijack this post, but I was approved to become a chapter leader for a newly created "Inland Empire eBay Sellers" chapter back in November. I'm super excited, however I couldn't access the link to edit the chapter (says Not Found) and it's not showing in my profile on the Seller Events platform. I've replied to the email seller_meetings@ebay.com but maybe my messages are going to spam. Can you check? From derek@thefouravocados.com and my seller ID is TheFourAvocados. Thank you so much! Super excited to get involved and setup this chapter! - Derek

Hi @thefouravocados , I'm glad you were able to get creative and find a way to reach out! I'm not seeing any emails from you in our junk or inbox folders. Could you email us again and CC me at kkayoshi@ebay.com? It should come to my folder as well, and hopefully that solves this! So excited to have you on board!

Re: Anyone know how to start a regional group in my area?

kayomi@ebay I noticed you were the 2024 eBay open kickoff group owner. I am reaching out to someone directly about getting seller support. I attended the eBay open digitally and remember that for one of the presentations, the lead of seller relations explained that eBay was launching a new seller support where we can get a representative to resolve any issues or at least see the issue all the way through.  This is now my 5th contact about the same issue that I'm trying to resolve per eBay policy. I'm not requesting anything that is outside of the scope of any existing policies. On the contrary, my specific issue is listed as an example of when eBay policy DOES allow the removal of that defect. Please help me get in contact with the head of seller relations or someone who can manually review my issues and take accountability for the issue with the determination to see it through to the end with me.  Thank you for your time
