I always go to USPS website and fill out form for them to pick up my packages for mailing. Hasn't been working now for a day. Anyone else having this problem?

I am sure it varies from town to town from what I have heard over the years here on the forum.
Could have had a sub. Could have a carrier with an attitude. Maybe they just missed you.
Call and speak with your postmaster if it is continuing problem.

Yes, I'm in California and on 10/ 23/22, the USPS schedule a pick up site appeared to be working. I would fill out the entire form hit submit and then there would be a message that the system was not working at this time. I kept trying & gave up about 11:30 at night. It would be nice if the "site is not working" message would be available prior to filling out the form. Lately, I am getting duplicates of the USPS message that my item has been picked up - for some reason I am getting 5-6 message for the 10/19/22 scheduled pick up.
I did leave a note with my outgoing packages for the post person on Oct.24 and my package was picked up and is tracking.
Usually, the USPS system works pretty well and in the past, I have received and seen messages that the site would be down for scheduled maintenance. Maybe this was a glitch.

I was also unable to do it tonight.
So I left a note in my mailbox for the mail carrier "One more box on the front porch".

I too have had this issue. I am disabled so I rely on this service. 2 scheduled days and no one picked up my packages. Now the site has an error where you can't even schedule.

Me as well. Very odd.

......Same here except even with a note, the carrier did not pick up my parcels. 😞

I am currently having this issue as well, even though I read on another post that they were able to make it work by signing in first. I'll have to test it and see.

Had the same problem last month, sometimes if I change browser it work but most of the time it didn't, been working the last couple weeks. I'm lucky my mail lady knows I have pick ups, even sends me a text to make sure when a pick up didn't go thru. Sub screwed me yesterday, was raining and didn't want to go to front door to get mail.

That site hasn't worked well for me for almost a year now. It used to be that I would have scheduled daily pick ups. I would get an email confirming the pick up request, scans of the packages immediately upon pick up, and then a confirmation email that everything was picked up. After my wonderful carrier relocated to another route, things changed. Some times I would get the confirmation that they were picked up the next day for the previous one, no package scans until they got into the destination state and some days no pick ups whatsoever. I'm their worst nightmare tho LOL. Last year during the holiday season I opened at least 9 cases looking for misdirected packages.
PTL everything calmed down during the Spring this year and I just put my flag up or leave a note. I'll only put in an official request for pick up for packages that do not fit in the box. Talk to your carrier if you can and tell him about your daily mail going out. Doesn't hurt to give them gift certificates for breakfast/lunch and tips at holiday times either. That goes a LONG way. Good luck to you!

Update: it works when you sign in, then arrange the pickup. I tried it without signing in first and it didn't work, but once I signed in, it got scheduled as normal. Hope that helps someone!

Woo hoo! I got it to work by signing into my account at USPS.
Thanks cozycharms.

Yes, that. If you don't sign in first you'll get an error message. FYI @zztop11.

Thank you to the posters who found out that I must be signed in the my USPS account to schedule a pick up!
For the last week I had been going nuts, writing notes to my wonderful regular carrier, and dreading the day a sub was on my route.
It would have been nice if the USPS had somehow mentioned that signin was now required to schedule a pick-up.
Since the eBay label printing pages offer links to Schedule A Pick Up, is this USPS change something the Shipping team should address? Do they know about it?
