Ebay committing Fraud

Ebay is charging there 12.55% fee on all procedes collected for a sale.  They are only intitled to fees from the purchase price.  Instead they charge seller 12.55% of the shipping and taxes charged for the item.  This is fraud and they should be help accountable for it.  I have sold my last item on ebay, enough is enough.

Sorry, but you agreed to those fees when listing/using eBay.

You need to cancel all bids, and end the current listing, or you will again be charged on the entire buyer payment.

That's just how they chose to structure the fees. Absolutely nothing illegal about it whether you like it or not.

   Not defending eBay charging their combined fee (which mixes Transaction fee AND Commission) on the full selling price; and also charging any Ad Fees on full selling price. But fraud is probably not a valid claim as deception is not involved. eBay discloses what they are doing.

Yeah I don't think its considered fraud when it's all laid out right in front of you. I knew this was the case just from the initial research I did before ever even listing anything.

So much for the Queen's or the new King's English, apparently even in Canada.  But I have started with a digression.  

A couple questions.  

Which category carries a Final Value Fee (FVF) of (only) 12.55%?  That was what eBay started their (see what I did there?) -- eBay started their Managed Payments Program with a 12.55% FVF on most categories.  Since then, they have increased, and most categories now are subject to 12.9% FVFs.  

AND that FVF percentage is charged on the total amount the buyer pays.   The buyer pays the price of the item plus, usually, a postage or shipping fee plus, in most cases, sales tax.  And it's all spelled out in the User Agreement, Item 5, Fees and Taxes.  

And, like a few others who have responded to you, please, please, enlighten the rest of us as to how and why eBay is "only [e]ntitled to fees from the purchase price."    

Actually, as far as fees go, Canadian sellers have a much better deal on eBay's International Fees than we Americans do.   International Fees are in addition to the Final Value Fee.  

When an American eBay seller has an international sale, defined to include sales to buyers whose eBay registration is in a country other than the USA, regardless of the country where the sold item is to be delivered, eBay charges that American eBay seller 1.65% of the total amount the buyer pays.  

When a Canadian eBay seller has an international sale, to a buyer whose eBay registration is in a country other than Canada, eBay charges that Canadian eBay seller only 0.4% of the total.  When a Canadian eBay seller sells to somebody whose eBay registration is neither Canada nor the USA, the International Fee is only 1.00%.  

In other words, you are mistaken wrong about eBay committing fraud.

All sellers need to add all fees into their item price or starting bid so the customer ultimately pays for them. You will also pay fees on the item you just ended early.

     You have been on eBay since 2003 and are just now figuring this out?? EBay is not the only ecommerce platform that does this. Almost all of them do the same thing just as CC companies charge their merchant fees on the total transaction cost. If you dine out and pay by CC the CC company charges the restaurant a 3-5% merchant fee on the total transaction that includes the cost of the meal, sales tax and even the tip. 

     If a buyer uses a CC to pay for  an eBay purchase eBay as the merchant is paying the CC some merchant fee, probably discounted, on the total cost of the transaction.
