So I have no choice but to reach out to the community as EBay will not help me as usual.
I’ve had eBay for less than a year. I’ve had trouble ever since. I’ve had listings removed for no reason and eBay stating 20 different coin listings were removed all because one of my listings should have said Veet Penny. I asked what a Veet penny was she states it’s a type of error Penny. There is no such thing that exists.
My biggest issue right now is a few weeks ago someone placed a Bid on a fine China tea set that had been on there for weeks. My son ended up breaking 1 of the pieces. I was not aware of it until I seen someone placed an order for that listing. When I attempted to cancel the order It stated I need to wait until payment goes through processing before I can cancel it. A few minutes go by, I finally get to cancel the order. Down to the very MINUTE of cancellation before I even had a chance to message the buyer she beat me to it, she was extremely mean accused me of being dishonest and not being happy with the amount it sold for. I politely responded to her immediately and stated how accidents happen sometimes and unfortunately this is one of those times and how sorry I was. After that she writes a review on my account stating that I was not pleased with the sell so I cancelled it, and I am not to be trusted, and FALSELY claimed there was NO COMMUNICATION at all! That is a false claim. Which shouldn’t be allowed on eBay. So I requested it be removed. eBay denies my request for this to be removed. I’ve had so many issues with eBay since the week I got it. They do not protect their sellers as they state they do. They refuse to remove that review on my account when they clearly see it was false they can see I did respond to her I did communicate with her but they refuse to take it down. Because of this feedback my sales are down. This woman was mean, she went off on me instead of just asking me why I canceled the order I was immediately accused of being a scammer.
the first week I got eBay, I posted a Michael Kors purse for sale the next day I get an email from EBay saying my account has been deleted indefinitely due to fraudulent behavior. I had to go through tremendous steps to get them to give me my account back. The purse was authentic and I ended up selling it on Poshmark I was too afraid to even post it on here again. I’ve had issues with them from the very beginning I can’t do anything I can’t ask for an increase in my selling limit due to that negative feedback as stated by an eBay representative last week. The rep I spoke to today said that’s not true. So I ask him what options do I have further to keep a sale like this incident from happening again? He refused to answer the question and ended the chat. He was not helpful at all. Now I know why more and more people stop using eBay. I guess your allowed to post false reviews on someone’s account which in EBay’s policy is supposedly not allowed but it indeed is. He even agreed that she lied but he can not review the request as the decision was already denied a week ago. I just don’t understand it. They make it absolutely impossible to sell on here but you can purchase things all day long and not pay on it wasting the sellers time constantly.
Something has to be done because I have proof I communicated with that lady making her review 100 percent false. And I can’t even sell my Ty beanie babies that are literally worth thousands and thousands of dollars.

Your better choice would have been to ask the buyer if they still wanted the set, minus the broken piece. The buyer may have been buying replacement pieces for a set she currently has, since yours was not complete, to begin with.
Regardless, you disappointed a buyer big time, so I think you will be stuck with the feedback.

Welcome to eBay. I sell some coins and also have no idea what a veet coin is. As far as China tea sets, unless you REALLY know how to professionally ship you should avoid the nightmare. MOST losses are the result of damage in shipping. China with lots of pieces is just asking for either damage in shipping or the buyer to find a tiny chip or discoloration on one piece you did not photograph or describe. Sadly they can also just make stuff up and eBay will support them in any sort of dispute. As far as eBay claiming something is inauthentic, that is another losing battle. You can buy a suit in a Chanel boutique in Paris but if eBay says it is fake there is nothing you can do. There is also not much you can do about feedback. Unless a buyer uses vulgar language feedback is their opinion and eBay will let it stand. You shold never leave feedback until you receive feedback and know buyer is truly happy. It sounds like you have a lot to learn and I wish it was easier. Good luck if you persevere.

I think once your competitors here read this, you may imagine them dancing hand in hand around a bonfire, celebrating your honest mistake.
honest mistake is read by eBay competitors, their silotohuettes will be shadows of dancing competitors cast outward into the forest from the bonfire out toward

As a seller, you have only received 6 feedback reviews, and 2 of them were negative.
With such a low score, it may be more prudent to focus on less expensive items which move quickly, rather than the number of high priced items you have listed.
Your low score combined with very high prices may be a scammer magnet, so if you wish to avoid problems in the future, you may be headed in the wrong direction.

I can't believe you savvy coin people don't know that a veet penny is one of those pennies with the veet stalks on the back. They were replaced in 1959 by the pennies with the Vincoln Vemorial on the reverse.
Next question please.

In regards to the china set, so you communicated with her, that is not grounds for removal of the FB by any means. It doesn't matter that you communicated with her or that you have proof of doing so. You canceled a tx the buyer rightfully won. That's a huge problem & creates a Defect on your account. Unfortunately, many unscrupulous sellers do exactly what you did b/c they don't like the price they got, so I totally understand why the buyer feels that way. It's probably happened to her before. In the future if something like that ever happens again, you should apologize PROFUSELY & ask her if she still wants to purchase, minus the 1 piece, offer a discount b/c of the broken piece & most importantly, send a PHOTO to her to prove that the piece is broken. I realize you were telling the truth, but the buyer has no way of knowing that & has likely been burned before.
I can't comment on the coin thing as I have no idea about coins & in regards to the purse, that's a very high fraud category, so you may want to have more experience under your belt before you sell in it.
Why did you cancel the other tx you got a NEG for? You can't just cancel tx's, you will get in trouble for doing so. When a buyer wins, they rightfully expect to receive the item. There are rare occasions to cancel but it should not be the norm.
In the future if you have a problem tx or an unusual situation you're not sure how to handle, just come here & ask BEFORE you take action, we're happy to help.

So sorry to read that you're having difficulties on the ebay platform. Sellers are definitely required to follow many rules & processes, and have extra scrutiny when they open up a seller account. You should always start slow with common items to build up trust on the platform. Then, gradually try listing things such as the Michael Kors purse.
Regading the tea set, you definitely should have reached out to the buyer first when you discovered the problem with the item. Let them tell you they prefer to cancel the order. That communication would have been captured on the message system & then the ebay algorithm would not have given you a big red flag for just canceling the order out of the blue without prior communication with the buyer.
Try listing common household items for a little bit until you fulfill a few orders smoothly. That will help you regain the trust within the ebay algorithm.
Good luck!

Why would you list that for $5 plus $8 shipping. The shipping alone would probably cost you $30 to ship. I can see why the buyer thought you were disappointed with the price you got. Maybe you made a typo. (I would have cancelled the sale too.)
With 2 negatives and so few sales, if I were you, I would just start a new account, move all your items to the new account and let this account go. If you do this, try to be more careful when listing and storing your items.

I'm in Complete disagreement about the second to last sentence. Once a buyer / bidder pays within the required timeline, (especially if it's instant), they have met their obligation! Leaving feedback immediately ensures the Buyer you received payment while acknowledging their timeliness and sets ground work for a positive transaction.. Anything less shows me as a buyer that The Seller is not confident in his item or his description and I need to take a closer look at my purchase when it arrives! I've been doing it for years and have never seen the need to wait! eBay won't help us Sellers anyway so might as well! It's just good juju!

As far as the Feedback / New Seller is concerned, it boils down to Perception is reality! The reality perceived here is run, don't walk from the seller. Reverse the roles and ask yourself the same question.. Even if monies could be recovered and security measures are in place.. Who want's the headache when similar items are available next door? I agree with candd205, this early on as a new seller. Start over with a new perspective..
Truly, Good Luck

I actually don’t even think the buyer was lying when she said there was no communication. You can cancelled the sale without any communication and she had time to message you before you messaged her. That’s zero communication about an issue.
How do you know why she wanted that china set? Maybe she already owned a set and had chipped a piece or two herself and simply wanted your set as replacement parts. In that case, the broken item may not have been a problem at all. You can’t just make assumptions and cancel an order with zero communication beforehand.
