Am I the only one?

So I have no choice but to reach out to the community as EBay will not help me as usual.

I’ve had eBay for less than a year. I’ve had trouble ever since. I’ve had listings removed for no reason and eBay stating 20 different coin listings were removed all because one of my listings should have said Veet Penny. I asked what a Veet penny was she states it’s a type of error Penny.  There is no such thing that exists.

My biggest issue right now is a few weeks ago someone placed a Bid on a fine China tea set that had been on there for weeks. My son ended up breaking 1 of the pieces. I was not aware of it until I seen someone placed an order for that listing. When I attempted to cancel the order It stated I need to wait until payment goes through processing before I can cancel it. A few minutes go by, I finally get to cancel the order.  Down to the very MINUTE of cancellation before I even had a chance to message the buyer she beat me to it, she was extremely mean accused me of being dishonest and not being happy with the amount it sold for. I politely responded to her immediately and stated how accidents happen sometimes and unfortunately this is one of those times and how sorry I was. After that she writes a review on my account stating that I was not pleased with the sell so I cancelled it, and I am not to be trusted, and FALSELY claimed there was NO COMMUNICATION at all! That is a false claim. Which shouldn’t be allowed on eBay. So I requested it be removed. eBay denies my request for this to be removed. I’ve had so many issues with eBay since the week I got it. They do not protect their sellers as they state they do. They refuse to remove that review on my account when they clearly see it was false they can see I did respond to her I did communicate with her but they refuse to take it down. Because of this feedback my sales are down. This woman was mean, she went off on me instead of just asking me why I canceled the order I was immediately accused of being a scammer.

the first week I got eBay, I posted a Michael Kors purse for sale the next day I get an email from EBay saying my account has been deleted indefinitely due to fraudulent behavior. I had to go through tremendous steps to get them to give me my account back. The purse was authentic and I ended up selling it on Poshmark I was too afraid to even post it on here again. I’ve had issues with them from the very beginning I can’t do anything I can’t ask for an increase in my selling limit due to that negative feedback as stated by an eBay representative last week. The rep I spoke to today said that’s not true. So I ask him what options do I have further to keep a sale like this incident from happening again? He refused to answer the question and ended the chat. He was not helpful at all. Now I know why more and more people stop using eBay. I guess your allowed to post false reviews on someone’s account which in EBay’s policy is supposedly not allowed but it indeed is. He even agreed that she lied but he can not review the request as the decision was already denied a week ago. I just don’t understand it. They make it absolutely impossible to sell on here but you can purchase things all day long and not pay on it wasting the sellers time constantly.

Something has to be done because I have proof I communicated with that lady making her review 100 percent false. And I can’t even sell my Ty beanie babies that are literally worth thousands and thousands of dollars.

Are you sure you did not misunderstand about the penny?  There is no such thing as a veet penny.  There is a wheat penny.

Veet is defined as removing hair from your body with a gel.

How do you know how many pieces I had in the set in the first place? That listing is nowhere on my account,  even still how do you know which listing I am even talking about unless you personally kmow the person or you are the person.

It’s unfortunate for anyone on eBay to expect every single order to be handled the way they think it should be handled. Sellers are going to make mistakes along the way and if someone has higher expectations than that then they shouldn’t be on a site that sells items by individuals instead of companies. Sellers on eBay are not licensed sellers we come here to sell our personal items. New or used.  If someone wants to deal with a licensed retailer there are many online auctions sites with auction companies who may be more likely to handle a situation that you personally expect it to be handled.

because even though o cancelled the order if that buyer was ok with the broken piece they sure did not tell me that. Instead I got yelled at and accused of being dishonest.

I don’t care that it’s negative feedback what I care about is that in that review includes a statement that is 100 percent false.  As I did communicate but according to the buyer there was no communication at all which was completely incorrect.

Also the entire situation and drama was all over .99 cents . She paid .99 cents for the item people need to move on and stop Automatically accusing others of being scammers not everyone on this site is out to get people.  You’re dealing with individuals who sell From their home, you will never find one seller on here who has not handled an order the correct way every single time. Every seller on here has handled a situation the wrong way at least once. But the reaction to it is the issue. If buyers are being respectful and honest and communicating there is no reason at all for that type of voilent  behavior.

Anybody can see your listings - both live and completed, sold and unsold.

There is only one tea set among your publicly viewable sold listings: item 195505002610 sold on December 12th.

For even quicker visibility, anybody can click on the item link from the neg FB on your profile.

I would highly recommend you research what your items are actually worth and selling for. An example would be your 1898 V Nickel you have listed for $700!!!! Others are selling similar condition same date coins for between $2 - $15. This pretty much applies to everything you have listed. People are educated today on pricing since they have the internet at their disposal. You can't expect to build a customer base with the prices you have listed as you are nowhere near the ballpark on them. I won't state what I really feel you are trying to do, but it is clear as day. Another is you are negatively impacting legitimate sellers in your categories with your unreasonable prices by turning off potential eBay buyers. Please reconsider what and for how much you are listings items. eBay and most of the sellers, like myself, work very hard to keep this an honest site. We work to satisfy buyers and make every effort for a positive transaction so they will return. I have been here since eBay started over 23 years ago and have 100% FB to show how I sell and treat my customers. I wish you good luck, but you should really reconsider what you are trying to accomplish by selling on this platform.  Have a great day.

Another example is your Beanie Babies - Your white KuKu birds listed for $300 + shipping is listed all over eBay brand new for $5.00 including shipping. The errors you are claiming on your $1,000 BB's are not errors. Check other listings. An example is Gosport - it is seen spelled that way on all of them.  I believe you may be looking at old pricing from 20 years ago or something.  Again, it is simple to do a search on eBay, Etsy, or Google for pricing information PRIOR to listing an item to prevent having to be so far off on the listing prices. Nothing says you can't price your items as you see fit, but you won't be selling much.  Have a great day!

Yes, I can see it, and there is no teapot, so no way to make & serve tea.  😁

Why would you list that for $5 plus $8 shipping. The shipping alone would probably cost you $30 to ship. I can see why the buyer thought you were disappointed with the price you got. Maybe you made a typo.

Their other items are not priced low - it does have the appearance of a pricing error. OP would have taken a significant loss packing and shipping that set.

The Corningware set is listed with shipping for a 6 lb package. The one item is shown to be 5 liter size in photos and when you look up that dish online, others have it listed as 9 lb with lid and over a cubic foot in size which will incur dimensional weight pricing. Plus there are 2 other items to the set the OP is selling. This seems like it might be a 2-box shipment due to the size of the larger dish.

You might want to check the shipping on that Corningware listing @gminshew1991 to make sure it's priced as intended. Maybe you're making up the shipping cost in the item price, but if not then you are definitely undercharging for shipping on that set.

Am I the only one?

Not sure where to even begin with this...
When the buyer stated No Communication in their feedback, what they were most likely upset about is no communication from you prior to you cancelling the order.  Which, according to your original post, was 100% true:
"A few minutes go by, I finally get to cancel the order.  Down to the very MINUTE of cancellation before I even had a chance to message the buyer she beat me to it"
So, you cancelled the order....then only communicated with her once she messaged you.  Am I right, or am I wrong?
Also, what reason did you use for cancellation?  Because another neg states you used the reason "problem with buyer's address", which according to them was not true.   Did you use the out of stock reason for the cancellation on the tea set?  The eBay rep can see the reason you used for the cancellation.  If they felt the reason for the cancellation was false, that would be all the more reason for them not to be willing to remove the neg.
If I am misunderstanding things here, please clarify.
