I have been having this issue for a month and have been told by "customer support" in the Philippines that they cannot figure out why my listings show as Active in my account but do not appear in search results. They even deleted the active items and relisted them from scratch but still do not appear in search.

"Customer support" claims to have escalated this issue, however its been over a week and my listings are still not showing up. I get automated emails saying I need to comply with a new return policy but when I click the link to the affected listings it says I do not have any listings that need to be adjusted

I'm beyond frustrated at the lack of support and feeling desperate as this is my only source for income right now.

Does anyone else have this problem? Or do you know how to through to the right department?

Excellent sleuthing. Never has occurred to me to put items in carts as a search/visibility diagnostic tool.

That glitch (closed store stuck on vacation) would explain this seller's woes, but I don't think is the case for some of the other sellers* (although there has been an upsurge in store closures lately 🙂

*I really need to start taking notes on these - there have been so many threads/sellers with different manifestations, different countries involved, etc I've lost track and won't be able to see any patterns if they do emerge.

Was your store on the vacation setting with hidden listings when you closed it? That could account for the visibility issue.

Edit- should have read the whole thread first. Looks like dhbooks found the same error.

You would really think that when a store is closed that the vacation setting would no longer apply, and listings would automatically go back live, but probably a scenario the eBay "software architects" never thought of. Or they did and it's more broken code.

Seller is located in the US.

His completed show solds and unsolds, but not all of the unsolds. I had my eye on buying a couple more of his items and they no longer show as active or completed.

He may have stopped listing for now, his last feedback was for an item sold over a month ago.

Just weird how things disappear like this.

I'd rather not identify the seller.

On my own listings, some unsold completeds have not shown for a long time now. Just ended, poof, and gone from search!

lol, I tried as thought there might be a problem with shipping that would show up.............can't claim any brilliant deductions..... Hope the info helps solve the problem, but still going to take trying to explain it to CS and getting someone to fix it....... Poster can't change it, I assume, as the store no longer shows up.......

You two are super geniuses! Thank you so much for figuring out the glitch in my account. In case this happens to anyone else, I reinstated my store, turned off vacation mode and waited. After nearly 24 hours of still invisible search results, I decided to add a new listing and it immediately appeared, but my other items were still hidden. I ended and then relisted those items and now everything is visible.

I can't thank you guys/gals enough, you truly saved me!
