I've just encountered the worst ebay buyer and ebay seller ever. How it possible that 1 ebayer is allowed to abusive the system by giving fellow ebay sellers over 39 NEGATIVE ratings. In his mind almost everything he buys on ebay is JUNK and beware of seller. You would think as a fellow ebay seller if you're not happy with purchase he would give the seller an opportunity to make thinks right but to give over 39 NEGATIVE rating is atrocious. Good job thank you for making all 39 sellers look incompetent and making us pay for return mailing. You should stick with your comment back from 2019 "I will NEVER sell on Ebay ever again". Very upset!

Right but I was thinking there was automatic neg removal for a refunded return. Seems like I saw that in a thread recently.

Are you advocating cancelling a sale, once the payment has been made, on the basis of a review of a buyer's feedback left for other sellers?
And more importantly, how does your such advice square with eBay policy?
Would the reason for the cancellation of the sale be, "I looked into my crystal ball / drew my tarot cards / consulted my ouija board and saw that the buyer was going to leave me negative feedback?"
And anyway, I thought the conventional wisdom was that feedback is singularly unimportant. Are you suggesting feedback is important?
I don't know who tagged this "misdirect" (or what that even means or does in the forums) but I am also very curious what you meant @stuff4divas . If this was an offer made by the buyer then I would agree it's not a bad idea to make sure they're not obvious trouble before accepting, but if it was just a straight up BIN/IPR, what exactly do you do if you see that your buyer has a troublesome feedback history? You mention "following through" -well, that would be shipping to them, right?

OP if I were you I would try everything in the arsenal to get the neg removed before writing a reply comment (I think that can stop it from being removed -not certain about that). Anyway if all efforts fail, still take a breath before you reply. A couple of your replies to neutrals went a bit 'beyond' in my opinion.

very good at understanding my statement @gurlcat I bet it comes from your teacher history LOL
don't know about the 'bad advice' tag
Quoting @gurlcat to cover up your bad advice?
As if no one would notice or see through your obfuscation?
What is this, amateur hour? 😁
Still waiting to hear your explanation.

To be clear.
You should never cancel a sale because of feedback.
If they paid you ship regardless of what their feedback says.
The only real time you can vet feedback is if they send you a message or send an offer prior to sale.
During this time the seller can review feedback left for others and add to BBL to PREVENT a sale.
However once the sale has happened there is no valid reason not to follow through and would be considered cancellation abuse.

@robbie31415 exactly this>

No, I didn't lose the plot.
Thank goodness these posts cannot be removed or deleted.
Its important to have a record here of who dispenses "advice" and what its worth.

Only 39? I have seen wayy worse. But the reason EBay allows it? Because the person is spending money.

Got busy yesterday and didn't post this then.
I was going to say 'so glad I noticed this, checked their feedback and blocked before all identifying info was removed because we can't say bad things about bad people'
But it wound up that they were already on our BBL lists - So now I had to know for what - Using each of our IDs, checked their fb left, one by one, till we found one with an item number. One look at the item and remembered - they had complained about something mentioned and pointed out in photo.
