Do sell stuff that is in demand...Check

Never place I accept returns, however I do never had a issue...Check

Sold more used items when I only listed 200 items...Check

Very GOOD titles recommended by ebay...Check

I Don't argue with customers in feedback only point out scams..Check

Ebay just recently made up the extortion traffic scam, to milk sellers out of more money. Ebay traffic is not base on what you are selling, it is base on how much you selling it for.  New or used.  Check!

The most successful multi-million dollar sellers on ebay sells only used items, not new.  Do your research! Check!

I get offers for my USED OBSOLETE items all the time, however, I turn them down for a variety of reasons...i.e. scam address, to low price, etc.. Check!

Due, ebay no longer giving traffic to sellers without paying for that traffic, I have my new items on other sites, and only push mostly used and not working items on ebay.  Most items in your store you sell are used yet you trying to tell me don't sell used items.  Check!

YOU prove my point great, that makes me Happy: Ebay have, and continue to put so many Hoops in front of sellers as to jump through, that sellers has become numb from being shock, and accept the shock.  Check!

Even your sells have dropped, and you had to jump through ebay hoops, and spend more money to get some sells. Double Check!

The Value of a item has nothing to do with the price. Business 101.

It is about marketing your item, new or used! Ebay new traffic reward system (Hoop Shock) is ebay method of making more money by giving sellers Up Sales Traffic Rewards to sell items. Hummmm, where have I seen, and heard  this business method before? If ebay push just a minimum traffic to my store, all my used obsolete items would be sold out.  However, ebay want sellers to jump through hoop shock, and pay money to get views.  Ebay method is not about pay to play. It is about pay, and keep paying just to sit on ebay.

There was a time, not to long ago, ebay sellers did not have to do Heavy marketing to get traffic, and make sales. Ebay gets enough daily traffic to send small and big sellers traffic to their stores. No seller should  have items in their stores with Zero Views. Yet I see you have many items in your store with zero views.  Ebay want you to keep paying up sales to get a little views here and there.

Business is not about what you are selling, it's about marketing what you sell.  You can write the best title, put in a return method, etc., no traffic no sales.  If I listed a used item, with one picture, no title, and just states it works, with traffic going to that item, it will sell fast.

Out of 2 billion transactions that give you a 1 in 2 billion chance of someone buying your stuff. No good odds at all but it is what it is.

Just goes to show that

1.) people want 'new' items

2.) people don't want what you have to offer because

       a.) they just don't

      b.) they don't want 'used'

c.) maybe you are priced too high?

These are all things you should look into changing or adding to your mix.

I moved away from selling used items for this very reason. My new stuff sold way, way better than my used stuff, so why even bother with the used items at that point? These days I only sell used things when a) I'm trying to get rid of some of my own/family's stuff, or b) I picked it up at a yard/garage/rummage sale for pennies, so I have no real investment in it.

I believe it's a known number that over 80% of items sold on ebay are new and are Buy It Now.

Not surprised at all, honestly. Used is great when you're talking a hard-to-find collectible, but if it's something that you can readily purchase new, why buy used unless you're going to be paying a fraction of the cost?

Lets see here

-Selling stuff that isn't in demand or people don't want... Check

-Doesn't accept returns... Check

-Doesn't consistently list... Check

-Bad titles/keywords/structure... Check

-Argue with customers in your feedback... Check

So you expect eBay to reward you with loads of traffic because your selling stuff people don't want, electronics that are obsolete and not collectible, don't consistently list new items & have bad titles and a no return policy? This is a YOU problem, not an eBay problem. Their are loads of sellers on eBay that have sales every single day with no issues at all including myself. Put some more effort in your store, source better more in demand items, stuff that people want or need etc... Research how to make good titles, have a good return policy and for god sake, never argue with a customer in your feedback. Regardless of what the reason is, that's just bad customer service all around. Good luck.

According to your math skills, the OP's chances of winning the lottery are much greater than them having a sale on eBay.  By your astounding ability to figure out odds, this means he would have won more than 8 lotteries over that same amount of time they had 8 eBay sales.   😛

"109 Million People Visit Ebay Monthly, ......There are 2 BILLION transactions DAILY done on ebay."

While possible, those two statements can't be right.

If that is the case, then you are saying that in a 30-day month there are 109 million visitors who generate 60 billion transactions.

That works out to an average of 550+ transactions per month per visitor, or just over 18 transactions per day.

That just does not seem accurate.

@sakic92710

The higher your asking price, the less in demand the item is, the more shipping, the condition of your items, the more rules you put in place for buyers, your feedback of happy buyers all have a factor so yes, for some the odds can be about the same as winning the lottery. Just because there are a billion transactions does not mean you will have one of them.

25 million sellers on eBay.

109million visitors monthly.

Your share is 4.36 visitors a month.

You have exceeded that share by 38 times.

2,000,000,000 transactions a day?

Yet only $27,500,000,000 Gross Sales in a Year; so that would mean each item sold for

$13.75

Don't think that $2 Billion is correct.
