Good morning,
I just received an email from eBay stating they are restricting my account and listings for three days due to the Counterfeit Item Policy. I've never sold anything that wasn't 100% authentic, real, and purchased by me. I have 470+ positive reviews, 0 negative feedback, and have never posted anything fake. My photos are clear, show all sides of the card (I primarily list baseball, football and basketball trading cards), the items are listed accurately, and almost all auctions are started at $0.99. The three listings they referenced were the same as all my other listings. I have no idea how to correct this. I've reached out to eBay to resolve but haven't received a response. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated from other sellers, and if someone from eBay sees this and can look at my account to fix this issue it would help so much!
Thank you!

Did you click the help and contact link at lower right of this page ? If not, try that to speak to an eBay rep.

I requested for eBay to call me, and they told me that they now have a policy that in order to sell a sports trading card on eBay, you must now have it graded by PSA or BGS for it to not violate policy. Unfortunately, PSA has halted accepting new submissions (and even when they were accepting new submissions, it took 6-9 months to get the item back from them), and BGS charges $25+ per card to get graded. This means I've got a LOT of inventory that I can no longer sell. Wow.

^^^ Really? Wow. I learn something every day. Dang...

If anyone can find or cite the policy I'd like to see it.

I've looked everywhere and I can't find it. It gives recommendations of who to use for grading, but I haven't found anywhere that states eBay now requires sports cards to be graded in order to sell.

exactly! I don't believe it!
There are probably over a few million cards listed (just a guess). You count all the non sports cards / gaming cards, your talking probably 15 million plus listings.
The whole grading system was created to generate more $$$. It would be nice to know exactly how is one trained to be an expert on grading. I don't think that is a college degree yet.

I think you may have been fed another round of bovine feces from inept or scripted cs agents

How come you're already restricted for 3 days on your first offense? Does ebay not do warnings anymore and just restricts right away?

It's at their discretion. They can outright ban on the first offense.

Scroll down and click on read full policy.
