Good morning. I am trying to create a new listing that is a Pick Your card lot with 5 different cards. I updated the Attributes and options you've selected part. For each variation I entered a different picture, price, and quantity. But when I try to list the item I am getting a 'Card Attributes is not allowed as a variation specific error". I don't understand what this means. I have been doing this format for many weeks now. The version that I am working on is based on a 'Sell Similar" that I did on one I created 2 weeks ago. Tried playing with Item Specifics and even Category with no luck
Is there some kind of update in ebay where this types of listing can't be done anymore?
Thanks

How do I send you a little something. I saw a donation tab, but now I can’t find it.

Congratulations! I can see that your listing upated!
Now you can do two, or more, at time if you wish. All you need to do is change the condition number on each of those listings before saving as a download.
I'm thrilled you got it working and thank you for helping expose weaknesses in the interface. Not everyone is ready to face spreadsheets and the like. I think I'll need to hide some of the advanced options, and perhaps include a condition editing field just for the card category.
And thank you for hanging in there. My time here is free because I love helping people solve problems and the tool is free to use. 🙂 Our server, on the other hand has hard costs and is always happy to accept small donations (bottom of most tools) to help pay for its hosting and bandwidth costs.

Thank you once again and I made a donation.

I'm not sure how to interpret that message. Based on my own similar error messages during testing this past week, it would seem that there is a variation or URL that is labeled {0} that is unaccounted for. Was that the only SKU in the message, or is the Error message actually longer?
I think it means there was a variation line item that was not included in the master record, but the tool should be capable of compiling a complete master record. Or there could be a typo in one of the variations that occurred during hand editing.
Do you want to recreate the file on the tool and try again? If it fails again, we'll ask eBay staff to take a look.

I tried it three times.

Hi @esbeauctions,
I looks like our system is taking issue with the CustomLabel column of the file. Clearly there isn't any data there, but I wonder if there's something we can't see that is in the background.
I would try to delete that column completely, and if that doesn't work copy all the data and paste it into a new worksheet (in case of some level of corruption in that particular file.)
Hope this helps!

Hi - Can you please tell me how you did the updates? Do you have to redo all the photos, names , qty etc - I will appreciate any help -

Go to the tool here
https://www.isdntek.com/ebaytools/VariationScanner.htm
After your item loads and scrolls down to the Report box, change these fields:
Then click the "Build Report" button.
(I chose item 193032729460 because the item conditions is "0", whereas there are others with a condition of 2750 that will fail unless that value is changed in the onscreen report.)
When the report appears, click the "Download Report" button below your report.
You can ignore the lower window for "Variation Image List."
Save the downloaded report (without opening it) to your desktop where you can find it. (If your browser automatically opens the report in a spreadsheet, then you will need to change the ItemID column to number format, as described in an earlier post, so hopefully, you can simply download the report. )
Once the report is saved on your desktop, got to Seller Hub, Reports, Uploads section:
https://www.ebay.com/sh/reports/uploads
Click the "Start Uploads" button and find the report that you saved to your desktop.
When you find it, the upload process will begin and a status window will appear at the lower left of your screen. It will report success or failure to indicate whether the file was accepted.
If the upload succeeds, or succeeds with errors, the job will appear as a row on the same page. Over on the right, download and open the "Response file" spreadsheet to learn whether there were any issues, advisories, or errors.

I did not have to redo all of the photos. They stayed intact. Thank goodness.

I tried what John suggested but still getting an error. I guess if it is this last one, no big deal. I will just relist. Thank you.

Many sellers have sports card listings with a Condition ID that is no longer supported. Fortunately, you can change this at that same time as updating your variation names. That way you won't get caught in that loop of what to fix first.
The condition ID is only in the first (master) row of each listing, as marked in orange in the below image. So find "Revise", which marks the start of a new lising, and look a few places to the right.
For sports cards, that 2750 number can be changed right there in the report to 3000. I don't know if 0 will work for new cards, as the listing form has no option for "new".

I am extremely happy to report that changing the CONDITION field to 3000 is working for me and I am now able to change all my Variation Listings to CARD NUMBER from CARD ATTRIBUTES successfully with "shipscripts" script. A huge relief and saving hours, and hours of work. Kudos to "shipscript". My only concern was that I was losing my "out-of-stock" history and "shipscript" resolved that for me also - if you want to keep your out-of-stock history to reflect your sales or to restock later, you need to have your "multi-quantity listings" turned on in your Account/Seller preferences. This script has been a godsend!!!!
