Does anyone know how to change your eBay store URL to match the name of your eBay store after a name change?
I called support, and they essentially gave me two non-viable options:
- Close my ebay ACCOUNT completely, lose all my listings and feedback and reopen the account, subscribe again, and open a new store (losing all my feedback is NOT acceptable)
- Close my eBay store and leave it inactive for over 30 days. After which point, in theory, I can open a new store, spend a couple of days recreating the categories and design. This is because eBay holds your store data in cold storage for 30 days, even if you don't want them to. (this is not acceptable because they don't guarantee that your corrected URL will be available even after 30 days. And, if it is, someone could grab that store name before me, and I'd be locked out of it forever).
Does anyone know of a VIABLE option? I used to be a programmer and a DBA. This literally would take one minute of a DBAs time to delete the accounts store record in the database.
