Buyer has total feed back of 3, 2 positive and 1 negative. After over 3 weeks of receiving the item I get a return request where the buyer says "Ordered by Mistake". I have a No Return policy in my listing. Ebay has Automatically approved the return request which is ridiculous. Apparently buyers have been buying these products, holding them hoping the value increases and if it doesn't return them.
I have messaged the buyer asking them nicely to cancel the return.
#1 - How can Ebay accept an "Ordered by mistake" excuse after over 3 weeks have passed. Just seems insanely ridiculous.
#2 - Do I call Ebay and explain the situation? My funds are frozen.
Just very frustrating that Ebay automatically approves returns when I am a top rated seller and have a "No return" policy. Appreciate advice. Thank you

If you have a no returns policy (which is a terrible idea BTW) you should have the option to decline a return for a remorse reason.

I've had this happen before - the buyer types their reason as "Ordered by mistake", but I bet if you check the eBay reason for return it will be "Item not as described". Unfortunately, the eBay reason for return is all that matters - the words a buyer uses as their explanation are inconsequential.

I thought so to - but Ebay automatically approved the return (an option I also have not set up). The only reason I have no returns is because of all the fraud on Ebay.....

The funny thing is they actually wrote in the comments - "Sorry I unintentionally purchased, Thanks!"
It was delivered over 3 weeks ago! It's mind blowing Ebay allows this nonsense honestly.

Right, but their comments don't matter - if they selected any of the below as their return reason, the return gets automatically approved by eBay because of the MBG.

Got it. They selected "Ordered by Mistake" though, shouldn't I have the option to decline?

Yes, you definitely should be able to decline based on your return policy. I would contact eBay for Business on Facebook before going any further - just send them a message, they usually respond within 24 hours.

Actually having a no return policy is only going to make sure you get ripped off.

Could be they just need money and started looking around the house for things they could return.
There is no such thing as a no return policy on eBay anymore. It's just a typing exercise now to include it.
