Recently, I've been scammed by a Russian person saying I sent a much less item than described (https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/Buyer-said-he-received-wrong-item-and-posted-a-picture-of-his/...). Now I have to accept return and take the loss. I could not, however, get a return shipping label from Russian post office to get the "wrong item" back to me to try to get things sorted. I went with the option on ebay saying "I cannot buy a return shipping label from buyer's country" after doing some research and now it says the buyer has until May 26th to ship it back. I'm concerned about how they will ship it back since it did not let me provide any information for return address or ask for tracking/insurance on the item. Does anyone know what I need to do/expect here?

All going well, and assuming eBay will follow protocol as advised you, and not extend for some reason, if a tracking number is not uploaded by the buyer to prove sending by 26th then you should be fine.
Sadly, no guarantees with eBay so keep a close eye on things.

I just updated my return address to match where I shipped from (it was empty before). That means the buyer will get the return address and have to provide tracking for the return right? Thank you

No, it would be the return address at the time of the purchase I would think.
The buyer has no way of knowing you updated the address later and they can only follow the instructions from eBay if they have any intention of returning (which I doubt).
As eBay are now a part of it do NOT have contact with the buyer at all, let the process run it's course and if eBay ask details from you provide the correct return address then.

I would assume he would return the cheapo phone back. But I really hope he doesn't bother to ship anything at all. I will let things play out from here. Hopefully the scam will fail. Thanks for your response.
