I bought a pair of sneakers that I thought were authentic and the seller also told me in messages they’re authentic. However they are definitely not authentic. I compared them to my retail pair and they aren’t the same. The soles aren’t constructed the same, the leather paneling isn’t the same and the dust bag is really off. I’m trying to return cause the seller said he’ll accept a return. He listed as returns not accepted. But he said he’ll accept it. However every time I put in a return request for item not as described ebay just tells me I’m not eligible for a return. Am I doing something wrong? How to fix this. I messaged the seller and he said I have to do it on my end.

Did these shoes go thru Ebays authentication service, or is it past Ebays thirty day MBG?

Nah it didn’t pass 30 days. I ordered it December 10th and I received them yesterday, December 16th. However they didn’t go through eBay’s authentication process. I never seen these sneakers, common projects go through the authentication process. I’m not sure if they offer it for these. But ya it didn’t pass 30 days and it didn’t go through authentication process. Any ideas why it won’t let me?

Which is the "FOR THIS REASON" eBay says here
from the following list
that you selected, @ceejaay6116?

Hey, thanks for the reply. I was selecting item not as described for the reason of return. However I messaged askebay on Twitter and a representative was able to put the return in for me. And the seller approved it. Thank you for the reply though. I’m still not sure why it wasn’t letting me. But at least the rep was able to put the return in for me.

Glad to heart it, @ceejaay6116!
So which "item not as described" reason did you select, from this list? -- e.g. Ordered by mistake, Arrived damaged, Don't like it, etc.

Ok. Did the seller send you the shipping label for the return? If yes, pack them , print the label and ship them out. Make sure that you know the tracking #. (You might have to put it somewhere in the case. I don't recall exactly here since I have yet to do a return.) Once the seller gets them, they are supposed to issue a refund. Anyway, keep track. Look at the case a few days after you shipped. DO NOT PAY FOR THE RETURN LABEL. The seller is supposed to pay in these not as described cases.

I chose the last one. The doesn’t match description or pictures one. Is that the one I was suppose to choose? Or was I suppose to choose another reason?

Okay. Will do. And yea the seller sent the shipping label. Thank you. I’ll keep track of it and stuff. Hopefully the seller doesn’t try anything shady.

You chose the right reason, puzzling that you couldnt file the case. But good news on the return!

@ceejaay6116, yes, that was a good reason to choose.
However, with that reason, the seller would not have been able to reject the return request. I think you must have clicked on a different button by mistake. Possibly, you chose the right one, but then you clicked another one and accidentally changed the reason and didn't notice it.

Maybe. However, I tried it like 10 times and each time it ket saying the item was not eligible for return for that reason. It is a possibility I accidentally hit another reason. But I did do it like 10 times. So I’d hope I didn’t mis press another reason for at least one of em. But yea I don’t why eBay kept giving me that message. I never filed a return like this before. I don’t think I ever returned anything on eBay.
