eBay just indicated that an Item being returned to me has been delivered to a PO box in a different zip code. I don't have a PO box. The buyer returning the item printed the shipping label through eBay returns but apparently it has the wrong address. The item has some value so I'm reluctant to just let it go. What can I do?

If it went to a PO box, there must have been one in the address on that label. Wonder if the buyer mixed up the labels? Did you check the return address you have on file? Not that I think it changed.
If it went to a different zip code you can dispute it was returned with eBay.

When I print shipping labels the return address is correct. Wouldn't eBay use that address for a return? The zip it was sent to is adjacent to my zip so it's unlikely the buyer mixed up the return with another item. The communications with the buyer are good. Since the item is marked as "delivered" eBay has shut off all the shipping options so neither he or I can view or print a new return label. I'm going try going to that post office to plea my case.

You can enter a different address for returns other than your shipping return. You need to check it.

I've had other items returned with no problem

Contact eBay cust serv and give them the address package was delivered to, and have them check all addresses you have on file with them, and go from there. When buyers scam you by returning an item (empty box/envelope) they will send to a different address but with the same zip code as you.

I chatted with an eBay agent. He gave me the correct return address and suggested contacting USPS. I've opened a complaint with them. He also indicated that if USPS can't resolve it quickly that eBay would make good on it through their Seller Security program. We'll see what happens.

Wonder if the buyer has two returns and mixed up the labels? This is a very strange one. I would check the address on your selling account entered for returns just to be safe.

You said it in the last sentence...just let it go!

Wondering @simba6 how two labels, each with it's own address and tracking number, could be mixed up?
Return label A:
-- OP's address, not a PO Box
-- Tracking number A, assigned to the OP's return
Return label B:
-- PO Box address
-- Tracking number B, assigned to the PO Box return
How would Label A which has ITS OWN TRACKING NUMBER go to the PO Box?
