Return from address different from original order's buyer address

When buyer's return is accepted, a FedEx or USPS shipping label will be generated by eBay and on the label the sender's address is automatically set to the original order's buyer address. But it is possible that the buyer has already moved to a new address when he wants to return.

Does this affect return? Will FedEx or USPS still accept package at a facility far from the one on the shipping label (maybe even located in two different states) and still deliver it without any issue?

There is no problem.  They will accept the return label.  It's up to the seller to make sure the ship to address is correct. It's not your problem.  You just return with the label eBay provided and your good to go.

Well, let's hope that everyone involved here has a forwarding order in place at their USPS.  Have no idea how UPS handles this situation.

The seller only has to provide a return label from the buyer's original shipping address.  I don't know if the carrier will accept the label if the address is in another location. I suspect that they might since it is a return label but I'm just guessing.  If they won't accept the label then they can contact the seller and see if they will send a new label. If they can't or won't do it, the buyer would have to provide the label.

If I am reading it correctly, is the buyer's return address that has changed. So if the buyer is returning something after they have moved it would be the ship from address, not the ship to address that is different.   If there is a problem with that, it would more the buyer's problem than the seller's problem.
