Not receiving items

I have recently noticed that lots of the items I order do not arrive,in the last month four of my orders simply haven't shown up!

I am currently waiting on 3 things and all 3 have tracking that hasn't changed for a week and having contacted the sellers only 1 has replied but still no change on the tracking.

I'm finding more and more that ordering is a lottery with things simply not turning up only to have to wait ages before I can make a claim, this may be the last straw and I'm thinking of closing my account.

Which statement is correct:

,in the last month four of my orders simply haven't shown up!

or

I am currently waiting on 3 things

How were these items shipped? Everything I am about to tell you applies to USPS only.

USPS has been really messed up. They reduced the number of daily truck runs by half at most post offices over the past few months. Some hubs are undergoing upgrades and adjustments. I do not know that is what is going on your case, but it may be. Sellers see the same tracking information you do.

For USPS, Sundays no longer count as a tracking day. So, excluding Sundays, go through and figure out how many hours have elapsed since the last scan. It can be any scan - even one that shows no movement. If there has been at least one scan in the past 72-hours - excluding Sundays - then your orders are not lost and are delayed. If more than 72-hours has elapsed, then a missing mail/package form can be filed by the seller. For the order attached to the seller who responded to you, if 72-hours has passed since the last scan, ask them to file a missing mail request. When they do that, they will either be shown a message that explains why there is a delay, or the form will go through and USPS will start a look for the package. Generally when this is filed, my experience is the package starts moving pretty quickly and the buyer receives it within a couple of days.

For the sellers who have not responded to you, if it is past the delivery date that was shown to you when you ordered, then you can file an item not received case. The seller will have to address that if they do not want eBay to automatically refund you.

I have not had any orders delayed by FedEx or UPS lately. USPS has definitely been an issue though.

Are you not opening item not received cases when/if these items are overdue by at least one day but less than 30 days?  Not sure why any buyer would have to wait ages before opening an INR case.  Can you enlighten me?
