Hi there. this is the second time in two months that an item/seller has said there are free returns and then once I receive the receipt it says... no returns! The first time the seller ghosted me and would not even respond. the item was the wrong size and I could not use it. I even offered to cover the return shipping and wait till they received before receiving refund...the box was not opened. Ebay did nothing , just said its up to the seller. I wrote an absolutely honest review (unemotional) of what had transpired which changed the sellers 100% review to 97%. i went back in when purchasing today's item only to find my review removed and seller back to 100%!
today I received another item, and again after checking the status of returns when I bought it , when I received again it said NO REFUNDS! this time though they actually sent the wrong item totally. I've just about given up on ebay. Seems a total lack of integrity all around!
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Yes, it IS the right of the seller to say, "No Returns", but that is not the case if/when a buyer opens an item not as described case and proceeds with the correct steps.

Not all "return reasons" allow the sellers "no returns" policy to be overridden.
A "remorse return" such as yours where "YOU" ordered the wrong size does not qualify.
You were not "100% stiffed". Your error, and by eBay policy............ its on you.
Also, likely that your feedback was removed is because you "lost" the claim for a return because it was your error.
The "wrong size sent" should go OK as long as you opened the return for the correct reason.
ETA: as a seller, I accept "remorse" returns as long at the buyer takes full financial responsibility for shipping in both directions, but it is not required that I do so.
You left the seller a neg for your error😬 Thanks for posting.

Thanks for your response. I apprecaite it. My review was not NEGATIVE it was honest.. I claimed full responsibility as I did to the seller in my several emails (that received no response BTW) to appeal to their sense of decency and told them I would pay for all shipping costs etc. I hadn't even opened the shipping package as I realized what I had done almost immediately when I received the receipt in an email straight after purchase. What I wrote in the review : I simply said I was saddened by the lack of integrity, decency and fairness (that you showed to your people). They didn't even respond to my requests (That alone should be a mark on the CS record) and I am stuck with a $40 item I cannot use.
The second issue has just been resolved very fairly. Thank you to that seller and they will receive an honest review also.

@rosgen_88 wrote:Thanks Maryl .....for the first item i went through all the steps of MBG and spoke 2-3 times with ebay CS. they came back with... "its the sellers right to say no returns!" But added that most sellers prefer to keep customer happy so encouraged me to write a review to explain. I did so. NOTHING. on my return to ebay I noticed the review had been deleted and they're back to 100% approval which I realize now means SFA!
I have only started the process on this new one which was actually the WRONG item sent and we'll see where it goes... but no response from seller so far does not bode well for my review.. which will probably be deleted as well!!
The first order, you ordered the wrong item, which is not covered b the MBG.
The negative feedback was removed because they found in the seller favor, because it was a remorse return and seller didn't accept returns.

OK, if not negative then it was possibly just auto scrubbed.
I understand your thought of "integrity, decency and fairness", but they are not required to feel that a return/refund is justified. Get it back, refund, and there they are back at square one once again trying to sell the item. As eBay does not require it, they did nothing wrong.
Also............... replying to you is not an eBay requirement and gets no "mark" on their CS record.
