Need to return a purchase

I bought a coat that said it was made out of genuine mink. In fact it was artificial. The seller sent a message apologizing for mistake. He said the worker put a wrong item. The seller promised to  send a real genuine mink coat and tolled  to keep artificial. The return label was not sent. Email where a seller planned to send a real  genuine mink coat disappeared or I can not find it. The return label was not sent. Ebay emailed me to contact the seller. I tried several times to click the option to contact a seller but it showed that page was invalid. Please, help me to get full refund and send a purchase to a seller for the seller expense.  Thank you.

Re: Need to return a purchase

Is this the one you left the feedback "Unfortunately it is not Genuine Mink Fur. Item does not correspond the description. It is not authentic."                https://www.ebay.com/itm/352859720464

I just check out their listings and clicked Contact Member.  System will allow me to send a message.

If the contact seller page is saying page is invalid then maybe there was something going on with the internet or maybe the seller has blocked you from communicating with them.

Anyway you should make a claim thru eBay before your 30 days are up and not rely on communication thru eBay Messaging.

@elizalcal-0

In your Purchase History, find the order and click the big, blue 'Return this item' button to the right. When the next page populates, click on the blue 'Show more' and select 'Doesn't seem authentic' and follow the prompts to open the Return. The seller will send you a return label and will issue a refund when the fake fur gets back to them. Stop messaging the seller. Good luck.

This part is not a lie: You can keep the artificial mink because the seller is not sending you the real mink.

This part is an eBay lie: eBay will not get any return shipping that you yourself paid, back for you.

Now you are stalled, with

1. no return label,

2. a non-working way to contact the seller, and

3. no refund if the not-as-decried [sic] mink is not mailed by the deadline.

Instead @elizalcal-0 send a private message to eBay on Facebook here with your name, email, and zip code and tell eBay you don't have a return label. eBay will put the case on hold for 5 days to allow the seller to either refund no return needed, or send cash via PayPal to pay for return shipping. If the seller does neither, eBay will force a refund no return needed, and you keep the fake mink, as promised.

You really thought you were going to get a genuine mink from China??

Re: Need to return a purchase

In cases like this if something is "artificial," I would click not as described.

I have seen several posts here where buyers have clicked doesn't seem authentic and buyer is told by Ebay they need proof and buyer can't get proof ... just an example .... on a designer purse, many times manufacturer will not put on letterhead something is counterfeit and buyer has to get something from an authenticator.  Just easier to put not as described because if you are saying it is artificial then to you it is not as described; all you do is click not as described and bam Ebay has decided no human interaction is needed, an automated ok to return starts.                     Great for buyer, not so great for seller to not have Ebay human interaction, but it is what it is as they say.)

Re: Need to return a purchase

When you receive an item that's not as described, you have 30 days to open an item not as described case in the Resolution Center.

If you let that time line expire, you have 180 days to open a case with Paypal, if that's how you paid.
