After a return is received, what is the max amount of time to request the funds from the return? The item was delivered 5/12 and I know I can ask eBay to intervene tomorrow, but is there a max allowed time if I wanted to delay intervention? (Seller is stating the funds aren’t available- I’m honestly OK waiting but don’t want to wait too long and end up with nothing. I understand it may not make sense for some that I’m OK waiting, but that’s a me decision.) 🤪

I believe that in the case of a return, the seller has three business days to provide a refund after tracking indicates delivery back to the seller. After three business days, the buyer can ask eBay to step in and force a refund. If the buyer does not ask eBay to step in within twenty-one business days of tracking showing delivery back to the seller, the case is automatically closed without a refund.
Check the status of your case to make sure that that twenty-one business days is correct; it would be a shame to miss out on a refund because the tracking was actually a day ahead of what you had thought, or if there was some other wrinkle you had not considered that affected the deadline.

The seller has two days from the time the item was returned to issue the refund.
If they don't, you should be able to return to the case and ask Ebay to step in on the 3rd day.
