I have bought a jacket from eBay and found out that this jacket is a counterfeit item after 2 years. I contacted the seller and he is not responding. I contacted eBay customer service and they said they can't do anything about this. I have clear evidence that the jacket is a fake. Is there a way to file a legal complaint or take any action to potentially get my money back?

After 2 years, you might try small claims court.

Wearing/using the jacket for two years, you must like it.
So the jacket being a fake, does it really matter?

No you don't. Ebay gives you have 30 days. Once your 30 days are up its a done deal. The seller doesn't have to reply to you. 2 years is a long time. I want you to think about this for a second in the sellers point of view. You make this claim that the item is fake 2 years later. Why didn't you make this claim when you first got the jacket? Let this be a learning lesson. Inspect your item once you receive to know if it is fake or not. Also question where your item is coming from. Did you buy this jacket overseas or in the US? If you purchased overseas its known that stuff is fake.

If you thought you were spending your money on a genuine item and it turned out to be a fake; yes it still matters no matter how much it was enjoyed... but that is one of the consequences when buying online.
I had this happen to me twice, once with some jeans that were supposed to be by a famous designer from the late 1970's. After a couple years I discovered that someone had simply sewn the designer's name onto the back pocket. The other time someone had sewn a designer label into the neck of a blouse and it wasn't authentic, and of course I was mad but shrugged my shoulders and kept it moving.
Payment methods and sites/apps come with reasonable time limits for refunds and all buyers have the option to try authenticating items to find out if an item is the real thing or not before the timeframe expire...

Nope. The 30 days is it. If you paid by credit card, you might have been covered for one year. Depends on the card. After all this time even the courts would turn you down.

If you have any recourse at all it would be through the legal system.
