Fraudulent Claims by Buyers not being investigated by Ebay Seller Protection

Sold two products recently. In both cases buyer claimed they did not get what they ordered to avoid return shipping cost and still get a full refund.  In both cases they actually got and returned the exact option that they ordered and Ebay did nothing to address the fraudulent claims after multiple customer service contacts "and notes on file for each".  They don't even respond to appeals !!  I ended up with 2 service metrics stats that are not legitimate.  Anyone else finding that Ebay does not actually check for and read customer support notes before they make decisions??  I am looking for other selling platforms to use besides Ebay Amazon, Walmart, Sears, and OfferUP !  Anyone know of others we can migrate to ???

Re: Fraudulent Claims by Buyers not being investigated by Ebay Seller Protection

Question... when you received those INR cases did you upload tracking into those cases to prove delivery?
Since eBay is buyer centric, eBay doesn't do any investigating, it is up to the seller to provide documentation proving delivery.

When you don't provide proof of delivery, buyers will win.
If you purchase your labels on eBay, don't make the assumption that because you purchased your label on eBay that tracking will migrate automatically to cases, this doesn't happen.
It is against Community guidelines to provide information regarding other sites, feel free to do your own research.

@ebooksdiva, more like the buyer filed false NAD claims to get out of paying for return shipping, see bold:

Going by eBay documentation, it seems like Top Rated Sellers (if the criteria is met) get protection from:

- A buyer falsely claims an item was not as described

- An item is returned after it was used or damaged by the buyer

When you report the buyer and we determine the buyer made a false claim:

  • We will subsidize the return shipping label cost up to $6.00 per return. It may take up to 60 days for this amount to be credited to your account
  • We'll automatically remove any related negative or neutral feedback
  • The return won't be counted in your "Not as described" rate in service metrics

Ensure you have completed the return and issued a refund to the buyer. You can also use the Report buyer option within the return request.

That said, the OP's best bet is to report the buyer though the online system/steps instead of calling outsource-man as per :  Protections for all sellers

See the abusive buyer policy for examples of buyer behavior that isn't allowed.

To help us identify buyers who are engaging in unacceptable buying behaviors, please report the abusive behavior.

You can assist us by reporting the buyer and clearly describing what they are doing. This will help us investigate potential policy violations and take actions to protect you.

Will need to refund buyer first in good faith and then report buyer. You can't go flapping gums to eBay CS first or they'll penalize you on the service metrics for not doing so. You have to have 'clean hands'.
