EBAY IS GETTING WORST!!

I just don’t understand why eBay can’t provide proper support like other websites. Think about the number of people buying and selling there every day—it must be among the top 10 e-commerce platforms. They take a significant chunk of every sale as fees, but what are they doing with all that money?

They been doing this for a long time and I don't think they understand how easy is to make customers go away and don't look back . What are the opinions now other than eBay ?

EBAY IS GETTING WORST!!

What is the problem with your return @joe-9745 ? Is this about the dentures?

If that's the problem, you were already advised how the process works:

You have 30 days to file a claim on eBay. Beyond the 30 days your only recourse is to file a payment dispute.

Making purchases with gift cards means you have to rely on eBay's 30 day window.

Buying a product that requires you to take a mold then wait for the seller to ship the final product that falls outside of eBay's 30 day claims window is something you should never purchase with a gift card.

That type of product really isn't a good fit for third party marketplaces to begin with, but if you're going to buy something like that here, always use a payment source that will give you a longer window to file a claim.

Beyond all of that, if the product is listed in a services category (as something like made-to-order dentures typically is), that category is not even covered by eBay's 30 day MBG, so you'd have to fall back on your payment source.

eBay as a corporation is pretty much up front about their fees.

What do you think they're doing with that money?  All businesses have expenses, right?

Do you have specific issues that you believe should be addressed?

EBAY IS GETTING WORST!!

@joe-9745

Is your complaint related to the dentures issue you wrote about?

Your complaint seemed to be that ebay should be able to control sellers. With over 18 million sellers, ebay can't possibly verify and validate each of them. However as a seller, you have a MBG (money back guarantee) and if you get items that aren't "as described" or if you don't get them at all, there's a simple way to get a refund.

But you need to take the appropriate steps to get those refunds.

It appears you've had quite a few poor experiences so you might want to reconsider whether ebay and you are a good match. Ebay isn't for everyone.

And on another topic, you might consider reading up on the feedback policy. As a seller, you aren't (or weren't) supposed to leave a negative comment for a buyer.

EBAY IS GETTING WORST!!

I'm just going to paste what I just sent to eBay and maybe you could understand but regardless I still think that  the support on eBay is almost zero, I'm not complaining about the fees but this is a huge e-commerce with a lot of traffic everyday, try comparing with Amazon where they provide 24 hours support. Look at the messages is almost all complaining because they don't know what to do.

anyways here my email I sent

Subject: Urgent Follow-Up Needed on Unresolved Case

Dear [eBay Support],

I am still waiting for a follow-up regarding my case. I purchased an item for $400 but never received anything. The seller's process involved shipping a measurement kit first, which I was supposed to return for the final product to be created in 3 weeks. However, the seller never sent the kit, and due to the extended timeframe, I can no longer request eBay's assistance directly.

I’m struggling to understand how listings like this are allowed. This setup seems designed to exploit buyers, leaving us unable to recover funds or get assistance from eBay. I’ve called customer support and was assured help, yet I’ve heard nothing in nearly two weeks.

To make matters worse, the prepaid return label for the kit prevents me from verifying delivery status, leaving me completely in the dark. My mistake was paying with a gift card, so I cannot dispute the transaction through my bank.

As a loyal eBay customer for years, I’ve never encountered such an issue. I’m simply asking for any help you can provide, as being left without updates feels disrespectful. If you’ve decided not to assist, please let me know so I can stop waiting and hoping for a resolution.

I sincerely hope you can address this matter promptly.

Thank you,

Sorry, but CS won't do anything after the MBG expires.

There's just some things that shouldn't be bought on sites like Ebay.

Have a great day.

eBay's MBG policy is very clear and they're not going to do anything since you're outside that window - and the item may have been listed in a category not even covered by the MBG.

eBay is not going to assist you with this since the transaction is not covered by their policies. You can stop waiting and hoping.

No, I certainly don't work for ebay!

I realize you're the buyer in the denture case.

But my other comment (separate from the dentures) was referring to a sale you made and feedback you left for the buyer.

I think is great that people could see this and think how weird having this sellers jumping and just making worst .

how funny because the reason for waiting and hoping is because eBay told me to wait and hope but clearly some people just like to hate and think that they on top on the world and knows everything. wow

Unless you see an eBay logo next to somebody's name, nobody here works for eBay. We are other buyers and sellers dedicating our time to help others. Please be respectful of that.

Posters here have a lot of experience and are advising you based on their knowledge of eBay policy.

While there are occasional situations where eBay will apply a once-in-a-lifetime courtesy refund, it's not an easy process, especially when the buyer is not covered by policy. You can keep spinning your wheels trying to get eBay CS to issue a courtesy refund, but you should not count on it happening.

The best posters on this forum can do is advise you of the policy, how this typically works, and how to make better informed purchasing decisions in the future. If you were covered by policy we'd be telling you how to take advantage of that coverage.

If you're hoping for a courtesy refund that falls outside of eBay policy, you'll have to deal with eBay CS directly as nobody here can help with that, no matter how many discussion threads you start.
