Hi yall,
Im new to selling on eBay and have been selling off a few things to cover the cost of textbooks for the upcoming academic year. The most expensive item I sold was a Nintendo DS game cart. The buyer sent me an offer and we went back and forth on price. Now that the item has arrived, the seller opened a return request stating “not as described”, and are claiming that I advertised it as a US game cart, with it being a EU game cart. However, nowhere in the listing was it advertised as a US game cart, and in the pictures posted, it was clearly shown the game cart was the EU version. Additionally, the seller claims the game cart dosent work, which is insane as I was playing the game on my console (a US console on top of that!), the day before sending it off. I suspect the buyer may have broken the game themselves in order to open the return the item, as I have a no return policy.
As for packaging, I wrapped the cart in bubble wrap, put that in a plastic bag, and stuffed those in a tiny cardboard box. Then, I wrapped the box in bubble wrap, and put it in a bubble mailer. I used ground advantage to ship.
What should I do? It was the most expensive sale I made, so it will really suck to take such a financial hit. Additionally, if I’m forced to accept the return, will I get the final value fees refunded?
Thank you so much for any advice!

Provide a return label to the buyer and refund after return. You'll get your fvf's credited if you dont lose the case.

You won't be forced to accept the return, but you will be forced to refund.
If you want something returned before refunding, accept the return and provide a shipping label.
