I had a return on Friday. The most ridiculous one yet. A lady opened a return saying my Coldwater Creek pants didn't have spandex in them. Pic#4 clearly showed a pic of the tag showing 4% Spandex in the pants. BTW I had No Returns on this listing. So I called Ebay that day and asked if there was anyway to go ahead an just close the return knowing that probably wasn't going to happen. They told me that I had to wait until 3 business days. They told me to call back on Wednesday. Well I guess you know where this is going. I go the SR# of of the call for evidence of what they told me do. I messaged the woman politely and told her to check pic#4 and see that the tag was displaying the Spandex clearly on the pants. She admitted that the tag said it,but still said the "Seller" was misrepresenting the pants and that it wasn't as described because she just wanted to return them and some other very confusing stuff I couldn't figure out. I think she thought Coldwater was a person and Creek was his last name. Who knows. Anyway,I got up Wednesday morning you probably know what happened. The returned already closed in the Buyer's favor at 1:30am that day. Know way I could have called Ebay any sooner or done anything to prevent it because I had to wait 3 working days. Come to find out Ebay has a Buyer Protection and even though I had No Returns on this listing and my item WAS as described perfectly the lady won the Return. You know I was mad because it was the most ridiculous return I have even heard of. Luckily I got an agent to file an appeal, but it still didn't work. The Buyer is always right on Ebay. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me when I had a clear case of Buyer's Remorse and the Buyer wins a case. So do we even bother to dispute a return or just give them their money back and forget about it?😓

I disagree. Since I have put No Returns on my listings I have had No returns. It is that simple. By stating NO RETURNS it just helps tell the Buyer in advance your not accepting them whether they can still get them or not. I have proven that it works. You can do what you like, but me doing it proves that it works. With that said: 1. You still have to put a good description of your items. 2. PUT MEASUREMENTS OF ALL YOUR ITEMS! 3. Make sure you fill in all the Ebay slots in your listing and not leave any information out. I have been doing this awhile to know what makes a sale and also what eliminates returns. Good luck
BTW: Just wanted to add how I just make a Buyer very happy. I sold a 2004 Top Gun t-shirt yesterday. It weighed about 9oz so I knew I had a few ounces free to work with without affecting my cost. I threw in a free Top Gun CD for my Buyer. I didn't tell him either. Wait until her finds out. He only paid $11.99 for the vintage t-shirt,but hey,I know I made his day. That is what this is all about isn't it? Good customer service!😁

Absolutely not true. You aren’t selling high-end clothing. The return rate is closer to 13% which is still much lower than retail where buyers can actually try on the clothing, but they still end up returning it.

Not true. I say fight a return if your right and you will win. I have never lost if I keep fighting. It will take some time, but in the end if your have dotted your "i's" and crossed your "t's" it will come out in your favor. They can't give it to a Buyer who is wrong. Well, they can but you just have to keep calling until you get the right Escalation Mgr. who will fight for your side. Unfortunately I just had a Return though that hasn't worked out. I actually have to handwrite Corporate Ebay for this one. Only because the Buyer also said some very derogatory things in her messages. She said that I bought my positive feeback like I was a Scammer on Ebay. I won't tolerate that from any Buyer. That needs to be turned over to a Higher Power.

80% Of Sellers don't put the measurements in their listings unfortunately. I hate it when I buy clothes on Ebay.

"your not selling high end clothing" 😄 Your funny. I ONLY buy high end clothing. I won't buy anything I can't sell and make about $15 or more on which means it has to cost over $50 new. That is pretty high end my friend. Don't talk to me about clothing. That is one thing I DO KNOW about. You might know about your items, but I know about what I sell. I did retire from high end clothing stores. Have a nice day!

I see your selling Coach. I turn down so much Coach at stores. Coach DOES NOT SELL. I can't give it away. That is a terrible cheap item. I have it i n my store. Did you hear me. I have it in my store. It doesn't sell. I see you have it in your store too. IT DOESN'T SELL! I can sell 5X more Sketchers in 3 days than you can sell one Coach in a month. I will challenge you to it anytime you want to have a go at it. Let me know. Gucci is a slow seller too. I have gotten it and kept it online for a year before selling it. I would rather have Kuhl,Sketchers,Lilly Pulitzer,Eileen Fisher,Torrid, and tons of nice hiking stuff way before I had your expensive items that just sit and don't move. Don't talk to me about clothing. That is one thing I DO KNOW about. You might know about your items, but I know about what I sell. I did retire from high end clothing stores. Have a nice day!

She probably did not fit into them. Selling clothes is very , very hard. Just accept the refund, pray that it's in saleable condition and move on. Refund. Block the buyer. Retake the photos and relist in a few days . Add a few bucks to recover some of the loss that you had in shipping. Goodluck.
I either donate my clothing or use it as rags so just to avoid these types of customers. I once got a return because the lady did not like the shade of blue of a perfect , pricey sweater.

Not ever a good idea to fight a return. We just auto approve them. Saves you a lot of equally ridiculous banter back and forth.

Come to find out? Like just now?
No returns only means you don't want the item back when you have to refund.
Let's say you COULD dispute a return...all that means is your buyer likely does a chargeback. Ebay needs fundamental changes or Mercai, Whatnot, FB, Amazon, Etsy, StockX and several others will kill ebay by death of 1000 cuts

Chargebacks don't affect Sellers on Ebay. You might want to read the policies on that. I have gotten messages about it,but as I said it doesn't affect me whatsoever. I still get the sale. Ebay takes the hit.
