I had a significant problem with an item I purchased on 12/17/24 and I notified ebay of the issue. Never heard a word from them. Some health issues the 1st quarter of 2025 did not allow me to followup as I should have but when I re-contacted them on 4/4/25, they said they would "look into my request and that they'll take it from here". Obviously, since I have, once again, not heard anything from them, they have no intention of trying to help me. I had hoped ebay had an ombudsman I could contact and plead my case but, of course, silly me to think they would have such help. Just looking for any advise from anyone who is familiar with how ebay works. Thank you.

Sorry, after the MBG expires, Ebay will be no help.
Contact your payment source and see if they can help.

Everyone has the same opportunity to file a case within ebay's 30 day window following the money back guarantee policy. After that, you next best option is to go to your payment source as @kensgiftshop suggests.
We all have stuff going on in our lives, and that stuff may be the reason we dont deal with things as needed, but in ebay's pool that stuff is never an excuse

Buyers have 30 days from the delivery date to file a return case. Personal situations have no bearing on a timeframe on eBay or anywhere else. The system is automated. Thus no need to contact eBay.
If the item is not as described, go to your eBay Purchase History and open a return case.
Find the item in your Purchase History and press the big, blue 'Return this item' button. Select "Item is Not as Described" as the reason for the return.
If it requires you to upload a photo to the return case you will need to do that.
Seller will be required to provide a prepaid shipping label IF they want the item back before refunding. Send the item back with the prepaid return label.
When the return tracking shows delivered back to the seller, the seller will have 2 days to inspect and refund your purchase. If that does not happen, on day 3 there will be an "Ask eBay to Step In", option for you to click on. EBay will refund your money.
If seller does not send a return label within 3 days and the "Ask eBay To Step In" option is not available, you will have to contact eBay. Contact eBay thru Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/eBay
Using the instant messaging and explain that the seller has not provided a return label.
Under NO circumstances do you close the return before getting your refund, REGARDLESS of what the seller might tell you.
Come back here with any or all questions you might have throughout this process.

What seems to be the problem, maybe someone here can help. You do not say anything.

ALL eBay buyers are well protected by the Money Back Guarantee if/when a transaction goes wrong. The catch is that they have to understand it and use it in a timely fashion, within 30 days of receipt of the item.
You've not given any details, so can't be more specific. There is almost never any need to speak with an eBay CS rep.

You have 30 days after last estimated delivery date to open a case, after that eBay is no longer obligated to do anything.
