Am I being forced to use specific carriers to return an item?

I started a Return of an item that arrived today. When I try to get the return shipping details, a screen comes up forcing me to pick either Fedex or USPS to return the package. I cannot get past this screen if I want to ship via UPS. So I don't know where to send it. This is **bleep**, this site is getting so bad I want to quit very soon.

Are you paying the return shipping yourself?  If so, I believe you're able to ship it however you'd like ... BUT you need to make sure you upload the tracking number into your return request so that eBay can tell when it's been delivered back to the seller.

I cannot upload the tracking number if the screen only comes to the page that I have to pick usps or fedex before proceeding further.

I want to use UPS and pay UPS directly for the label. I dont want to pay ebay to use fedex or usps but it wont let me complete the return without picking one.

If you want to provide your own label, you have to select the RMA option in your return settings. That will allow a seller to choose the eBay label option or upload your own label.

If you select the RMA option, the next return you get will allow you to upload your own label.
