One cannot know purchases are counterfeit until they arrive. But, this past flea season, I have learned a lot about eBay items. Thank you for your opinion.

Ebay frowns on vigilante tactics.

Chewy dot com usually has some of the better deals and I see a large dog Seresto collar is on sale for $50, when I price that collar low to high they start at $20 buy it now. That's a pretty solid sign....
Seems it would be much easier to pay retail and not have the same ongoing problems paying half price online but that's just my humble opinion.

We buy flea drops on here and do not have an issue- we usually go with a UK or Australian seller. If we got counterfeit we would not know. Our dogs have never got fleas.
You can call Ebay up and talk with a Supervisor and see how to clear the air with your account. I always prefer the one on one when there was any issues.

Generally I search for nitenpyram pills only, the primary active ingredient in major brands but sold at a fraction of the price as essentially generic. There's a shelter I usually get them from on here, solid deals/products and doses for both cats and dogs of all sizes. Then I buy Frontline on here which I use monthly, I've never seen it faked and generally it's pretty close to retail cost unless you get a bulk break which I take advantage of (1 dog, 3 cats and many strays I treat).
I also buy my dewormer on here, usually from overseas but occasionally domestic. I buy broad.spectrum which usually contain 2 or 3 of the same chemicals and are dosed by sized for dogs and cats. The Frontline, nitenpyram and dewormers keep our pets and the strays healthy (which in turn helps protect ours even better).
I've never had luck with collars, maybe because I didn't want to pay $50 each or because cars lost them in a day. If nitenpyram started becoming counterfeit or Frontline, I'd start buying retail to avoid the hassle. One may think they are helping expose the sellers but really, this is a great example of where it gets you. Plus other buyers see x sold or x remaining and your just another number being a reason someone else may think they are a good seller and buy from them.
Nobody means to be harsh on you, imo. But if eBay can't stop this, we certainly can't. Only possible way is not to buy it at all and stick with stores. I do wonder if the knockoff collars contain the same ingredient (your paying for the name brand, not the pennies in the ingredients).
