When I sell multiple items to one person, I don't need a separate email for each item saying they've been paid for. In one case I got over 60. One is plenty!

I am currently running a Markdown Promotion in Promotions Manager. There is NO notice at the top of my listing advising my buyers of the markdown, and the actual promo for my sale is BELOW my description area.
We were previously told ebay is testing this placement.
Is this still a test, or is this the new normal?
Hi @my-cottage-books-and-antiques - Not the new normal, still a test.
When I look at your items I do see the strikethrough on the price (Was X, Now Y, you save Z). The banner that cross promotes other items also on sale is below the item description, and that is the test that is still ongoing. Thanks!

My listings are clicked on seller offers GSP and I also have my own international shipping options. But I have received messages from int'l buyers who want to use GSP, but they cannot choose it on my listings. I have to remove my own options in order for them to use the GSP. Is this they way it is? Or am I doing something wrong? thnx!!

Hi Alan,
Just wondering why on ended listings that have previously sold numerous times do the current emails state to list at a much lower price?
Thanks in advance!
Hi @erotique6, I'm happy to offer some clarity about these emails. Pricing guidance is offered if an item was active for 14 days without a sale. In these situations, we'll send an email with a suggested price. While the suggested price can increase the possibility of a sale, sellers should price items in a way that works best for their business.

General topics question: What is going on with the email notifications for sold/listing confirmed/listing ended?
I am getting different versions of each of these, all of them getting sillier with each new "improvement." The latest has a cute little symbol followed by only the first 10 characters of the item title, then a message that has nothing to do with the item listed. eg, "Check our selling tips to increase your selling success."
Why can't these notifications actually show the entire item title without any cutesy symbols that are not even visible unless the inbox font is huge?
And finally, I have not gotten most of the item ended messages for a few days. Is this the future?
Hi @muttlymob - We've gotten that feedback and have made sure that the right teams are aware. Hopefully we'll see that get adjusted in the future.
When it comes to messages not arriving in a timely fashion, I've gotten multiple reports of this and will get your account added to the open ticket I have open. Make sure that they aren't going to a spam filter, just in case!

Hi @stuff4divas, it looks you have your Shipping Preferences set up correctly so there shouldn't be an issue for eligible transactions to go through the Global Shipping Program. Do you have an item number example for me to investigate?

tyler,
Yes, the strike through...which really does nothing to inform the buyer that some or all of my other items are on sale. So, when you say the test is now the placement of the cross promotion section, does that mean the only thing in play now is the placement of that section? In other words, the words that used to be at the top of the page, promoting my sale, those are gone, and that test is over and done with....they aren't coming back?
I hope you can understand my confusion here. I had always thought the word "promote" meant, well, to promote....it appears perhaps it now means: "to conceal, to make discovery difficult?"
Hi @my-cottage-books-and-antiques - the promotion test includes banner and wording both, apologies for my wording!

ebay has been promising new customizable modules and merchandising opportunities for stores since last Spring's Seller release? Any time line for this stuff (other than the frustrating "stay tuned') ? Any idea of what the changes might actually be?
Hi @my-cottage-books-and-antiques, while I know that many sellers are anxiously awaiting these features we do not currently have a date to provide. As soon as we have specific timeframes to provide we will be happy to share them, but in the meantime I recommend that you keep an eye out for announcements or emails with updates.

Thanks for the response! 14 days for a turn over??? I have not seen a month this bad since I started this account in 2011, but ok will take your word for it, before deciding to reopen my store, which I closed a little over a month ago due to the store directory not working for several months and a few other reasons besides sales dropping off each month.
On another note when someone accepts Paypal do they not accept all forms of Paypal? I was on my buying account a few days ago and to my dismay a TRS seller posts in their descriptions instant transfer only. No CC......or has policy changed on this?

While I'm on the subject of Markdowns:
Used to be, if I was running a Markdown Manager sale, there was an "On Sale" tab along with the All Listings, Auction and Buy It Now tabs in my store Home Page. This wasn't much, I admit, but it did help call attention to the fact that I was running a sale. It seems to be gone
Glitch, Test or new Unannounced Change?
Hi @my-cottage-books-and-antiques,
I've looked into this, and it's on the roadmap to come back in an upcoming Stores update.
Thank you.

General topic question,
I sell in the collectables category and my listings up to this point have been 30 day returns, buyer pays for return.
My question is, since my category allows 14 day free returns vs 30 day free returns starting June 1st is there any advantage on listing placement between the two options?
Does a 30 day free return get higher placement than a 14 day free return?

The last GSP I sent was about 5 mos ago, so the sale is no longer showing on my eBay account.
I believe it was in the UK. The buyer wanted me to send the item thru the GSP but she said the only choice she had was my own option shipping methods.
I went into the listing and saw GSP box was checked. I couldn't figure out why she did not have that choice as well.
She is the one who told me I would have to remove my own options and show GSP only, otherwise I would not have figured it out.
I always thought that was a strange thing and that both GSP and my own would not show together, but even when I click on the 'shipping payments' tab on the listing itself, then click an int'l country, only my own shipping options come up, w/o the GSP showing.
