Also, a big thank you to eBay and staff! My sales have been pretty good for my level of selling lately and I appreciate being able to pay my copays on my medications. 😀😀❤️❤️
Thank you to Doug. Now let him out of the basement. 😂

Not a question but a comment - I'm not able to leave feedback for my buyers. I leave feedback but it doesn't go through. Maybe want to pass that on to the tech team.
Thanks guys!
Hi @tunicaslot - thanks for letting me know. I have a few similar reports over the last week, but those members were receiving specific errors - anything similar for you or just the weird bait and switch of making it look like you've left it just fine but it doesn't take?
Just the weird bait and switch for me Tyler - it looks like the feedback is accepted but it's still sitting in my waiting for feedback to be left hours later - TY!

Sending Offers to Buyers:
I would truly like to use this feature more, but for some reason eBay is throttling my efforts.
Over the last 14 days, 82% to 99% of my watched listings are 'not eligible to send offers'
When I have done my calculations, I have excluded those items that do not have at least 2 1/2 days left, the ones I have sent offers to and the ones I don't want to send offers to.
So what exactly makes an item/watcher combination ineligible?
Will there ever be anything in writing to explain this?
Hi @postcardcountry, if the buyers who are watching an item have elected to not receive these kinds of offers then you won't be able to send offers on those items. While the listing may be eligible, the watchers are not, so it will return an error message when attempting to send an offer.
" if the buyers who are watching an item have elected to not receive these kinds of offers"
I was never asked if I want to receive offers from sellers. How would a buyer have set that? and why? I bet it's a default.
It is in your Site Preferences.
Hi @vrykalak, @mam98031 is correct! You can make changes to what promotions you would like to receive by going to My eBay > Summary > Communication Preferences.

i was just scammed out of $1200 from a fraudulent return. The buyer sent a "return" to me and I opened it to find a bunch of junk in the box. I called ebay and told them I have video and photo evidence and provided all the information they requested (police report, badge number etc). They still awarded the refund to the scammer buyer. I'm more upset with eBay than I am with the scammer at this point. The package he sent back was almost 30lbs lighter than the one i sent him. It doesn't make any sense how they could refund him, they obviously did NOTHING to actually look into what is happening. I need help and every time I call ebay i get a different person who doesn't care and i have explain the whole thing over again and it doesn't get properly looked into. eBay is letting this scammer get away with murder and they are doing nothing to help me. At this point i just want my item back i don't even care about the money.

Sorry, did you mean to say "if the smell is NOT an integral part of the item..."? Sorry if splitting hairs but this issue is important to those of us who sell vintage. Thanks.

For several months now, I have been trying to relist an item I last listed a year ago.
eBay won't post it, claiming that it contains JavaScript. I tried retyping the Description from scratch, in a text file, and verified that when I uploaded it to the Description, the only HTML in it were line feed & paragraph tags...No dice: system saw JavaScript.
Several eBay agents looked at the code, and agreed that they didn't see anything in it that looked like JavaScript.
Finally, yesterday, I realized what the problem was. The last line of the Description says the little figurine "has a bewildered expression (like Kermit the Frog)"...the system was upset about "Kermit" (which I think was a version of HTML many years ago).
So I removed that, and it posted.
C'mon guys!
Hi @vrykalak, if you can provide me with the item number I will be happy to look into this. Using a trademarked reference like Kermit the Frog may be problematic in other ways, as this could pose VeRO concerns or potentially be a search and browse manipulation violation as searches for Kermit the Frog items may pull up your listing, which would potentially be seen as unrelated.

Thanks Alan. Well, now I feel a little better. I am sure you are not the sort of person who would build up my hope, only to destroy my dreams while you laugh one of those movie villain laughs. If I were coming to eBay Open this year, I'd be sure to bring chocolate for Doug, and, in fact, if the bell were to be fixed before eBay open, I'd bring chocolate for the whole community team . But, I'm not going to be able to make it to Open this year, so you'll have to struggle along without my confectionery donation. Maybe next year. Because I feel confident it will be fixed by then. I will put my faith in Doug.
By now he would probably appreciate a nice juicy steak or a big juicy burger by now. LOL

There is no way to change the zip code - and only the zip code - that you are shipping from.
I am not talking about changing my return address.
On the shipping label, under the date shipped appears "from xxxxx" This is the zip code I want to change.
Could do it on the old, been around forever screen, but can't do it now.
Hi @postcardcountry, check post #12 for a reply that addresses this concern
Actually, that feature did finally get added to the Shipping form and it's present right now. In the Shipping form, look at the "Ship from" address at the top center of the form, and click on the "Edit" link just below. That will bring up two address windows that can be updated: one is the Return address and the other is the Ship From address. (If necessary, check the box for "My ship from and return address are different" to see the second address window.)
Apparently the USPS wants full data submitted on the address belonging to the Ship From ZIP, not just the alternate ZIP code itself. I think the expectation is that you plug in the full post office address serving that ZIP code (or presumably the place at which you're staying there), but if in doubt, you can usually get away with submitting "General Delivery" as the street address, followed by the City that corresponds to that ZIP. Remember to change it back later when shipping from someplace else. I hope that helps.

I'll send a note down to Doug to let him know that the pressure is on.
Pity that you're not going to Open, hope to see you at a seller event sometime soon.

Hi, Brian. Can you call up the thread related to this topic and re-quote here where we were quoted what I have stated to the poster? The part about if this is in your listing, then...this...if not, then this etc. Hope am being clear. I can't seem to find it. It was quite informative and no a one-liner. Thanks.
I'm not able to search for a thread or quote from a thread during the weekly chat. I can confirm that complaints about odor are typically considered buyers remorse. However, we will look at the reason the buyer opened the return when we make a decision. If the buyer opens the return with a not as described reason then we will make our decision based on that.
