I currently have over 14,000 listing in turbolister.  How many can sixbit hold?  Thanks.

@fragranceplusbeautyfindsThere is no limit to the number limit of listing in SixBit. We have several users with 10s of thousands of running eBay listings and some with quite a few more.

Re: Community Chat, June 3 @ 1:00 pm PT - Turbo Lister Retirement & SixBit

Been on eBay since 2002 and use TurboLister.  I have a huge inventory on TL which I need to utilize through various seasons.  With my monthly Store Fee, final value fees, PayPal fees, automatic relisting of BIN listings for eBay profit, etc, I cannot afford a fee-based program on top of all the other eBay profits.   Turbo Lister works.....PLEASE leave it working for all us "little" sellers.  A few years ago TL was going to be defunct and with massive complaints, eBay decided to keep it going.   Please consider this before retiring something that works!

Re: Community Chat, June 3 @ 1:00 pm PT - Turbo Lister Retirement & SixBit

I've been using Turbo Lister since its inception and am sad to see it being retired!

Is SixBit similar to Turbo Lister in features and functionality?  Or is there any other software that's very similar to TL?

Trying to decide if SixBit is worth paying $35 a month for. I only average 130+- sales a month and manage 200 listings on average. Most of my listings are one offs. I currently use eBay shipping due not trusting other systems to upload tracking properly. I never used TL, but not sure if the mid tier of SixBit is worth the money for me. I don't think the lower SixBit tier would be worth it for me. Can the accounting tools accurately populate sales numbers in a custom spreadsheet I have setup? Are the automation functions like photo editing and templates good enough to save me 2+ hours of my time a month?

@gwzcompsWe do have the Home and Hobby edition and a special Turbo Lister Starter Edition that should cover your basic listing and order processing needs. You can export your sales information via CSV for external use or use the Profit Loss reporting available in the other versions. At any time, you can upgrade or downgrade your subscription to better fit your usage.

Thanks I am aware of the Home and Hobby edition.  From what I can tell that is nothing more than a basic listing tool?  Most of my listings I just recycle text so I am not aware of what benefits that tier provides.  Also when looking deeper I find it outrageous I have to pay for a subscription fee and I have to pay extra to remove your branding from my business?  I try to keep my listings as clean as possible and don't want unnecessary stuff on them.  That is pretty off putting and enough to make me not want your software.  Kinda feels like the scummy move car dealers pull when they try to put all their badges on your car you paid for.

I switched to SixBit several months ago.  So far I'm happy.  The bonus, much faster.

But I have some questions:

1)  I have not imported all my listings to SixBit.  Will I be able to do this after Turbo Lister is gone?

2)  Even though Turbo Lister will no longer be supported,  will you still be able to upload  listings?  I'm guessing the answer is no.

3)  I am interested in knowing the difference between the Turbo Lister plan and the plan I have (I pay $37.99/month).  If I wish, can I downgrade to this plan.

Thanks.

@jmr82 Here are the responses to your questions.

1. Yes, you would still be able to export your items after it is no longer supported, but the safest thing to do would be to do an export of your Turbo Lister data so you will have it when/if you want to import to SixBit.

2. No. After July 13th Turbo Lister will no longer interact with the eBay and will not be able to list items with Turbo Lister.

3. The Turbo Lister Landing page (sixbit.com/tllanding) has a description of what is different in each version.

Upgrading and downgrading in SixBit is very simple.  You just go to your SixBit Client Area and request the change, or contact support and we can do it for you.   The next time you login you will see the version you are subscribed to.  There is no need to install anything and your data stays right where you left it.

Re: Community Chat, June 3 @ 1:00 pm PT - Turbo Lister Retirement & SixBit

Hello,

I've been using Turbo Lister since 2007.

I can create and store listings.

I can rotate my summer and winter listings.

Now you're making us pay for all the listings that we create.

This is not a good move for eBay.

Is there a free alternative that we can use ?

I agree.  I've used Turbo Lister since its beginning and try to list about 600 vintage postcards a month.  I like Turbo Lister and hate to lose it.  I will have to think long and hard about continuing selling on ebay.

I was told by an Ebay rep this was the forum to bring this up so I will.
1. Why is it that as sellers, we are allowed to set up a return policy that best suits our business, however Ebay will not support our policies if we choose to not accept returns. If we sell an item that we list as not working and sell it under "parts or repair" condition, why is a buyer allowed to return the item or force a return? Specifically, the buyer can force the return by falsely stating "item not as described" or "doesnt match description or photos" if they want and as a seller I am forced to accept the return and pay for return shipping when the listing is clear we do not pay for return shipping.

Can you please explain, if you are trying to support your sellers, how this is allowed to happen?

Hi @valuetrendz, welcome to the weekly chat! This weeks chat is focused on Turbo Lister and SixBit, so we won't be answered general questions. It seems to me, everyone is upset at losing Turbo Lister (Free Service), and the only other alternative is SixBit, which partnered with eBay which is a PAID service.  This is not unlike PayPal where sellers could only accept payments through PayPal, and were charged a fee on top of the sellers fee.  Now, for sellers to have a service such as Turbo Lister, they now need to pay for it through SixBit.

If sellers who were accustomed to Turbo Lister now has to pay for a service they were getting free for years, sellers may have to or they will not sell as much, because the convenience of posting more on eBay brought more revenue to eBay.  Time is money and now many sellers not only are losing more profits, but the value of time without Turbo Lister.

Bottom line is can eBay really say this is beneficial for sellers in the long run?  Why not come up with a compatible FREE alternative, and while waiting to do so, leave the original Turbo Lister running.   It seems as if this decision is a ploy to make sellers spend more money like the fees from PayPal years ago.

Sixbits isn't the ONLY alternative.  It is just the one they have brought to the Weekly Chat.

Agreed! I would be happy to pay a monthly fee to continue using Turbo Lister, since I've used it so many years.

Know what's funny? Just think of the revenue eBay & SixBit will make out of this venture and they can't afford a webinar?  Unfortunately, They know already what the questions will be and just like the, "Managed Payments" webinar, that are supposed to save sellers money, they Don't want you to know the truth.

Wait for it.... It will come

I have been using Turbo Lister for a number of years and have spent a lot of time and effort creating and adding to the data base.  With the demise of the Turbo Lister tool, what will be the comparable listing tool, and how can the information be transferred.  I quikly looked at the suggested alternatives mention in you email and none of them seem to do the job.  Perhaps it is my lack of tech savy, but if you are going to phase this out at least have a workable alternative that is easy to use and to which the info can easily be transfered.

@brandywinesales The most similar listing tool to Turbo Lister is SixBit.  Have you given it a look?  It is very similar and we've spent a lot of time making sure Turbo Lister users were comfortable using our Turbo Lister version.  If you are having issues getting started with SixBit, please feel free to reach out to our SixBit support to help you get the ball rolling.
