Are you using a template, or pasting HTML from another program?
I did find this thread which may help: https://community.ebay.com/t5/Archive-Selling/HTML-and-CSS-in-Article-Description/td-p/26470615
@vrykalak wrote:ebay adding ugly code. Lots of DIV and SPAN and elaborate formatting added to simple "<b>" and "<p>"tags.
(e.g., "<b>" becomes "<b style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Arial, Helvetica, "Sans Serif"; font-size: medium; font-style: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: -webkit-center; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: rgb(173, 216, 230); text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial;"><font color="black" size="-1" face="Arial, Helvetica, Sans Serif">")If I try to update something in a Description, I either have to remove all the extraneous stuff manually, or I have to go back to my original file, update it there, and then copy the update up to the listing page...where it is clean when I put it there, but becomes ugly when posted.
I wish I had a flag to tell eBay not to monkey with my code.
I gave an example. Somewhere between the Listing page and the Active Listing, the system adds multiple lines of formatting code to <b>, <p>, <td>, and <tr> tags in my Description.
The code in my Descriptions when I upload them is plain, vanilla HTML4, which works on any platform that understands HTML at all. There's no need to add all that other formatting data. It works, but it often makes the code do things I don't want, and makes it nigh on impossible to update the code when I need to.
To answer your question, I have a template that I use to format my Descriptions and add standard boilerplate. I update it frequently, when I see something misbehaving in the edited code that ultimately gets posted.

On returns claiming Doesn't Match Description or Doesn't seem Authentic, when will ebay force buyers to give details as to why they think item doesn't match and why they think the item isn't authentic?
Also on returns claiming damage, shouldn't buyer have to submit photos of damage and photos of packaging?

@uniwarehousewares wrote:sellers are suffering from the orders cancellations initiated by the buyers, paypal do not refund fee to seller once transaction done and reason is many buyers are not aware of it, its keep hurting only sellers, is there something going on from ebay side to notify to buyers about it?
While PP did announce such a change, they decided not to implement it. So if you refund a buyer through PP, it will function as it always has. You with get all your fees back for the amount you refunded. As is normal for them PP will keep the 30 cent transaction fee.

Is there still a grace period provided to a seller before losing top rated status?

- The dustom label is not showing up on sold multi-variation listings on app. The app shows the variation, but not the custom label/sku. The custom labels do show up on laptop on multi-variation listings . This is not a problem with the single item listings, only the multi-variation listings. It would be very helpful to have the custom label/sku in laptop & app notifications, as well as under sold listings on app, Thank you.
Hi @pursesbrasplusmore - we've gotten this suggestion to the mobile team in the past and been told that it's not on their roadmap currently, but I'll add your voice as a seller who could really use it!

Looking for some help with the many tech issues that havent been resolved. My store disappears at least once a week and when it gets back up it shows less than half the inventory. I get offers and when i go to respond to the offers there is no offer. Cant access site preferences for nearly a year now. Pics disappear when listing items. I promote my listings and "sponsered" will seldom show on all items. Promote listings and listing impressions go down into the red. When i want to send a buyer a message i usually get the "its not you its us" tech glitch. My sales are down and there are ALWAYS issues with my account. Ive called numerous times and get no help. WHAT CAN I DO???

Was glancing through technical issues this morning when I came across this thread:
Unable to Pay
Appears this technical issue has been happening at least since the end of May and ebay still hasn't fixed the problem. Can you please check into this issue?
Thanks,

I am wondering if you have an update regarding this situation I posted about?

Also, is it possible to check my account to see if anything from this is on record?
Thank You

All excellent questions. IMHO I call this a No Fault return system. Ebay allows a buyer to say anything they want in order to return anything they choose. Ebay has not required a buyer to provide proof of whatever their allegation may be. They will just go by whatever the buyer says. Truth isn't a factor in allowing a buyer return something or get a refund.
There are pros and cons with this process. It is more complex that it appears.

How is it decided who is a "business and professional seller"?
I certainly hope I am not, because the several times I've seen Seller Hub, I have been REALLY disappointed by how much information I would lose by using it.

Hi @selsa84, I'm sorry to hear that you've run into some problems while using the site! To ensure you get answers to all of your account specific questions I strong recommend that you contact our Social Media customer support at either Facebook or Twitter. They'll be able to take a detailed look into your account to find why these issues are occurring and get them reported. You can also give us a call if you don't have a Facebook or Twitter account.

another question ... is there any way to find out how many sellers that joined managed payments still sell on ebay?
yes i have been invited to join managed payments several times like many other sellers ... but until i know what i am jumping into i will not join. i am sure many many sellers feel the same. even if it means leaving ebay when they try to 'force' us to managed payments.
which brings up another question? are chinese and offshore sellers being required to go the managed payments route also? i have seen nothing on this anywhere ...
i am trying to prepare myself for .... what? (since there is no information on managed payments being given out.)
Hi @dasarock - answers below:
1. No, there is not a way to find that information out.
If you've been invited recently you should be able to call and discuss your specific questions with the Managed Payments team directly.
2. It's anticipated that payments be rolled out to all members by July 2021. This would apply to all sellers who wish to continue to sell on eBay.
