Hello eBay,

My biggest competitor set up a second anchor store and listed the same 3000 items on both stores.  I have repeatedly reported this to the email and social media teams over the last few weeks with no resolve.  I fully understand you can't discuss the actions taken against other sellers but I can see the results.

In search my competitors items come up twice and I appear only once with my single anchor store.  This is a clear manipulation of search and I need your help.  I shouldn't lose sales for weeks at a time while your compliance team researches this problem.

Or maybe this is not an offense you are taking action on?  If that is the case please let my know and I will open a second achor store today.

Hi @maxoptical - what you describe does sound like a violation. I'll look into the reports you've made.

However, as you know, I won't be able to discuss any action taken with you (I realize you know that, I just want to make it clear to anyone else reading this that there won't be a follow up).

So based on your response. Revenge feedback is acceptable as a sharing of opinion?

That is a new low for ebay.

Hi @Anonymous - the term 'revenge feedback' assumes intent, which is something that I would discourage you from doing. A buyer is allowed to leave feedback for you as a business, and it sounds like they left you some feedback about your product and your business practices. That may not be how you felt the interaction went, but they are able to share their opinion of the transaction.

brian@ebay Hi Brian,

I recent posted about apparent changes in the size/weight limits for FedEx 2Day Express.  You did reply with the divisor which I appreciate.  It still doesn't address why 12x12x10 boxes were eligible for the deep discount rate for the first 3 weeks or so and now are not.

Could we please have documention (or at least a post) that delinates the size/weight limitations for the special 2Day Express rates.  It's nearly impossible to setup a reasonable shipping policy when we don't know for sure what qualifies for a rate.

Thanks.

Hi @dtexley3, sorry I missed that post (I just went back and found it). I've emailed the shipping team for clarification on this. When I hear back then I'll let you know. Thanks!

This question is for Tyler if you would please

From your reply on this post #36 can you kindly give us the format you are using to find stores?

https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/My-Ebay-Store-is-not-found-in-Advanced-Search/td-p/30688591/pa...

In using the Advanced search and entering store names I am unable to locate large numbers of stores including the store from poster #37 from that same thread
post # 37 has no numbers in their  store.
I have also tried on a few sellers from this chat & cannot locate their stores either
I get an error responses
store not found 2-20.JPG

Even my own from the Advanced format takes me to what looks like my listings but not my store

stores display 2-20.JPG

Hi @labs118 - I tried to match the OP's search method based on their screenshots, which sounded like the Store Search page (eBay>eBay Stores>Store Search, link here).

That's not normally how I would search for a particular member - to be honest I don't search for store subscribers at all, I search by user id in the advanced search page.

I haven't heard anything back on this from tech, but will update the thread as I do!

Can you tell us if ebay is currently pursuing actions to do something about the foreign scams the site is plagued with?

Hi @picknparley, our members account safety is a top priority. We proactively monitor the site for suspicious activity and take action on reports we receive from members. We also provide resources to help members spot spoof emails and protecting their account, and you'll find those details here.

A little clarification needed in regards to INRs.

It is the understanding of many that an INR can not be opened by a buyer until the day after the latest ETA on the purchase record.  However I have experienced that buyers have been able to open them prior to that date.  It was further my understanding that they couldn't ask Ebay to close it in their favor until 3 business days AFTER the last ETA date on the Purchase.

What is the actual rule for Ebay.  I could not find it in the policy pages.  If I just missed it, would you please provide a link to the appropriate policy.

Thank you in advance.

Hi @mam98031, I'm happy to clarify! A buyer won't be able to open a INR until the latest estimated delivery date has past. Buyers must also wait a full 3 business days after the case is opened before they can ask eBay to step in. With that said, there are times when customer service may open an INR for a buyer prior to the latest estimated delivery date, such as if the seller is no longer a registered user.

Very interesting.  This is the way I always thought it worked too, until it wasn't.  I'm a seller in good standing with Ebay, yet I've had an INR opened BEFORE the ETA on the purchase.  And I know of other sellers that have had the same experience.

I 100% support what you have described, but the application of it seems to have different outcomes.  I don't know why and I'm trying to understand.  I don't have a current INR that I can give you to look at, we were just discussing this on another thread.

Hi @mam98031, a specific example would be helpful in determining why this happened, so if you run into this in the future hen let us know. Keep in mind that we can't share private information about claims on the boards, so we won't be able to share our findings publicly.

May I have the link to the policy page that covers this please.

@mam98031, the policy can be found here.
