This is from an August 2017 and November threads and still continues to be an issue when searching by XXX miles within item location / zipcode:

Only in the DEFAULT mode do my listings appear as United States Seller.
When I click on and open a listing, then it does show as United States Seller. But potential buyers are not going to click on the listing if they think it is from an international seller.
Any update on this yet?
Hi @monkeystein, I've looked into this and found that it's a known issue. We definitely want to get it resolved, so I'll do what I can to get this pushed up to the appropriate team.

I note eBay is changing the transaction count method for Global sales where US sales are no longer going to be included.
Could you please clarify what the loss of TRS in Global impacts a US based seller, only listing on eBay US and still a TRS for the US?
Will TRS logo no longer show when a US listing is viewed outside US?
Will TRS discount be lost for global sales from a TRS US seller listing only on eBay US.
Will late shipping under gobal only, cause loss of US TRS, or worse?
Hi @mcjbob - more information about this change from last year here. The long and the short of it is that based on your question nothing would really change for you.
Overall as you maintain TRS in the US your discount will not change, since there's no discount currently associated with the Global program.
Because they are considered separate markets, a late shipment to a Global buyer wouldn't impact your US TRS.
Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks ebay for providing this forum to address issues.
Why does ebay still tell prospective store owners that there are 10+ sizes of boxes available when looking at it today there are only 4 sizes available. This has been an issue ebay is aware of for over a month.
When is ebay going to either proved the 10+ boxes as they state or change the statement.
It can't be both ways and is not a good look for ebay.

@vrykalakwrote:I'm about to lose my TRS status because of "tracking not uploaded on time" defects. What!?!
Why is "late shipping" only a defect if the item arrives late, but "tracking not uploaded on time" is an automatic defect? That makes no sense.
I have two recent instances where the person bought several items and I shipped them together, but forgot to move the tracking number to the second ID. This is costing me my TRS status...even though the items were shipped on time and received on time.
The rule says it's a defect, regardless of on-time carrier scan.
AND to add insult to injury, I may get TWO defects for each of these sales, if the packages happened to arrive late...which they often do because I live in the middle of nowhere.
AND because I was being helpful to my buyers and allowed them to buy several items over a 24-hour period, I am a bad seller and don't deserve TRS status.
Bottom line: uploading of tracking information has nothing whatsoever to do with customer service. Why should it EVER generate a defect? ESPECIALLY when the rules specifically require the defect regardless of whether or not the item was shipped on time and received on time?
Hi @vrykalak, the tracking uploaded and validated by a carrier metric exists because the buyer experience is improved by having valid tracking as early as possible. As we have discussed before, if you have any shipping metric questions we recommend you contact Customer Service to have this reviewed and to discuss the specifics.
Sorry, but you misunderstood my question.
Tracking was uploaded and the item was scanned on time for the first item each person bought.
The defect is "tracking not uploaded on time" for the SECOND item the person bought.
And the defect stands even though the item was scanned, shipped, and delivered on time.
I fail to see that this has any relation to customer service, and I think it is horribly unfair to a seller who has gone out of hir way to accommodate a customer.

Do we have any hope of changes to the "request invoice" link? It's impeding sales, there are multiple posts about the issue.
For me, now that SmartPost is no longer available as a "low cost pseudo-flat-rate" shipping method it's even more important that buyers be able to request an invoice for appropriate shipping discounts (not to mention negociated prices). When items have a mix of "free", calculated priority, and flat rate box items are possible in a single order it's impossible to simply use a standard shipping discount. There's too many variables.
Having the "request invoice" or "request total" disabled for so many reasons just costs eBay and the sellers money and frustrates the buyers.
Hi @dtexley3, I've passed along the feedback I've received on this feature. While I can't speak to any specific changes, we are always working to improve and adapt to an everchanging market.

Not that it is that important, but I am getting alert emails today that I mentioned myself on posts on the boards. ![]()

Brian didn't ebay know that FedEx updated their smartpost shipping rates by use of DIM now , it from 166" to 139" ?

eBay's own Customer Service really needs to be improved.
As an anchor store and TRS, we use Merchant Support (who are great, btw).
Today, for whatever reason, when I called with a question/issue, it was routed to 'regular' CS. While the young woman was pleasant, I could barely understand her, I had to repeat everything at least twice (basic information I'd already given such as username, zip code, etc) though I was careful to enunciate clearly and slowly when I realized I was not speaking to an English speaker, and after I asked her to transfer me to Merchant Support, I had to listen to her trying to find the number to transfer me for a couple minutes. No exaggeration.
While listening to her flounder, I tried using the site to find a contact number (just in case it had changed from what we always call). Choosing category after category trying to hone down the issue just to maybe get a phone number in the end should NOT be necessary for a company with the resources of eBay. ........and in the end, I never did get a contact number.
Seriously. I am an experienced seller who knows how to maneuver eBay (mostly). If you want a "good buyer experience", please hire people who know how to provide customer service rather than struggle through understanding what is being told them or not knowing anything if not on the set script.

Thanks to ebay for providing this forum to address issues.
Why were Promotional banners removed from the top of listings?
What happened to the 31 day notice ebay told us we would receive for changes?

Used to be able to download bought, sold, unsold lists every three months, so I could check back on this kind of thing.
Changes made to those pages several months ago make that impossible: the pages simply won't download in a readable form.
I know they won't be changed back, so this problem needs resolution: we need to be able to see bought, sold, and unsold data for a year.
If it can't be kept directly online because of storage issues, provide a link to the archive, so the information can be found there.
Purchase history needs to be kept for the lifetime of the account.
