Did we ever find out about why both the Promoted listing and normal listing are showing up in search, whereas it was supposed to be one or the other, as I remember.

I'm curious as to why sponsored/promoted listings circumvent my choice of search criteria? I usually search highest + shipping first. So as I go down the list, out of nowhere, these sponsored listings pop up completely out of order, totally disregarding my search option. I find it confusing and annoying.

Hello! I was wondering if sellers are responsible for items with tracking showing they were delivered, but the customer claims were stolen after delivery. How far beyond successful delivery does a seller's responsibility extend?
Hi @joshuatreeimports - in a situation where tracking confirms that the buyer's shipment was delivered to their address you are protected from Item not Received requests (we would find them in your favor if they were escalated). Thanks!

Just that it is happening. I believe it was Tyler that reported the issue and as far as I know there is no update yet.

@gwzcomps - I can report that we are seeing much better performance out of Markdown Manager since last week. Most promotions are going live or ending within about 10 minutes of scheduled times, which is much more in line with how that tool used to work for us.
I don't want to get anyone's hopes up and can't really say this is a "fix", since we were told that delays of less than 24 hours weren't a technical issue to be fixed, but regardless, I'm very happy it is working better now and I hope that continues.
Thanks I might try again. I was gonna run a big sale for Cyber Monday but it was a total failure...

@golfingaddict Awesome post ... I want to see the answers to your questions as well. I have my first Free Returns happening right now, awaiting the Buyer returning the item.
Scenario: Buyer's reason - Changed their mind.
They needed a DC motor train and bought an AC motor train as stated in the claim. However, "AC" was specified in the Item Specifics.
Its a vintage electric 2 piece train (powered and non-powered diesel locomotive set). If it is returned in the same condition I shipped it in and I can resell it then I will refund the sold amount MINUS unrecoverable PayPal fees, pre-paid return shipping label and I will not refund their original shipping cost ... I view this as a remorse return. I also will expect protection against any potential "less then Positive" feedback.
If it is returned with damage or the original box has more damage then when it was shipped I will make a different decision on how much to refund.
This Buyer will be put on my BBL even though Buyers in this category often will buy more then once, a Buyer who makes this kind of mistake is lacking some knowledge ...
Sold item was over $ 159and won on an Auction.

On iOS when creating listings if you enter shipping details prior to pics descriptions or if you have to go back to add something you forgot before listing it its defaulting the shipping back to recommended can you guys fix that?

Just to add a little more to this so no one gets confused. The item has to be shipped to the ship to address on the PP payment notification [if you are NOT in MP] for this seller protection to apply in both Ebay and PP.
In Ebay, they allow us to be notified by the buyer after the payment of an address change as long as that notification happens within M2M. So if we comply we are fine in Ebay and still covered. But NOT in PP. PP does not acknowledge or accept that change.

Hey a curiosity question.
Why after all these years hasn't Ebay added Ebay to the spell checker. It always shows we are misspelling it. Just wondering???!?!??

@gwzcomps wrote:When is eBay going to take accountability for their site and its issues? I constantly have to call and report various different things that have been a problem for a while now. Examples:
- Buyers allowed to supply addresses that exceed the character limit.
- Buyers allowed to make multiple accounts to get around site policies and blocks.
- No real way to protect oneself from buyers that make false claims.
- Search engine hiding listings in results.
- Search engine providing inaccurate results.
- Random unresolved glitches like markdown manager problems and buyers having issues paying.
- Other issues I don't remember at the moment.
I do enjoy the new line the support people have been taught. "We are doing our best" It does make for a good laugh when some of these things have been problems for years now. I'm familiar with all the default responses and policies. Just hoping eBay will step up to the plate for a change 😞
Hi @gwzcomps, happy to let you know that we already takes steps to be accountable for site issues by investigating problems we identify or that are reported to us and working on fixes. For the specific examples you have provided, I can share the following:
I hope this helps showcase the steps we take to be accountable and address the concerns you have outlined. You are welcome to contact Customer Service if you run into any specific issues you would like reviewed, or post details to the Technical Issues board.

When Ebay redesigned the Feedback Page we seem to have lost an option we use to have. What happened to being able to view a members ID history for changes. We use to have a link to that, but not anymore.
Where can we get this information or has Ebay deemed we don't need it?
Hi @mam98031 - I'm not aware of any change to remove this function, can you link me to an example thread or get me some more detail I can use to look into it further?

Couple weeks ago I was buying 3 items from a seller. It said 50 cents shipping on each additional item.
I clicked on "buy it now" for one of them, and it took me to the payment page. So instead I went back to put the 3 items in my cart, and clicked on "request total from seller" to get the shipping discount.
I got a message that said the seller doesn't have combined shipping. So I decided not to bother buying them. Didn't want to deal with the annoyance.
But then a few hours later I got an invoice with the shipping discount!
So was the message I got an error? It was very confusing.
Hi @carlqsportscards, do you have a screenshot of the message you received? If the seller has set up combined shipping properly, you won't need to request a total from the cart, as this will calculate automatically. If you see in the listing that there is an offer on shipping that is not showing properly, you may need to request a total from the seller. From what you have described here, it sounds like the seller has not correctly set up their combined shipping rules or has not applied them to their listings.

There is not a thread. And I haven't a clue as to how to get you an example since it no longer exists on the updated FB pages. I'd have to go out and try to find a member that did not have an updated FB page and I don't know an easy way to do that.

I just stopped by to say Hi and I’m still around. We found out about Rosies cancer Nov 7, she passed that night in bed with her human and dog family. Her and Max’s daughter is 12 and she has cancer too. It’s not life threatening yet but we’ve been busy with vet visits and medications. We will have to draw a line somewhere unfortunately because we are not rich.
Anyway, thank you all for your support. I know I’m annoying with all my dog talk but my kids are grown. I hope to be back selling after the new year. We’ve got another vet appointment today but I wanted to drop by to say Hi and thank you. I ❤️ Every one of you all.
Hi @mg152, very sorry for your loss. Losing dogs is tough. You have my sympathies. I hope things start looking up for you soon!
