Hello everyone. My question is about a past promotion that encouraged sellers to sell from I believe June 26th 2019 to July 14th 2019. Earn up to a $40 coupon. Sellers will receive 50% back as a coupon on items they sell, up to $40.
I activated this coupon and sold items valuing $43 during that time period, but never received a coupon. I believe I should of received one for $21.50.
I made a post a couple days ago, with a lot more details here... https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/eBay-not-valuing-their-Promotions/qaq-p/30101030/comment-id/25...
Thanks,
Chris

Is PowerSeller being dropped or is there a new link that I haven't found yet?
Hi @coffeebean832, looks like we need to make some updates; I can currently only find a reference to the PowerSeller program here. I will touch base with our content teams on this matter to ensure related details are publicly available.
They should also update the hyperlink on "my account" pages. I can see my PowerSeller level and when I click for more info it takes me to that old removed link.

When a partial refund is issued for combined shipping discount (at the time of shipment) by a seller in managed payments, does that mean the buyer can no longer return the items for any reason?
"Please note: You can only issue one full or partial refund per order, and the refund option will not be available if there's a dispute or claim open against an item within the order."

Hi @coffeebean832 - I can't speak to specifics regarding managed payments. If you've received an invitation to participate you can contact the team directly and they can assist you with those details. I'll see if there's any further information available to us and get you an update if I hear back!

I have said several times these last few months that items stay in the "Unsold - Not relisted" list after they have been relisted.
Here is a case where the same two items are in he "Unsold - Not relisted" list twice, once as an auction (that was activated from an Unsold Fixed Price list because of a promotion that only allowed auctions), and once as Fixed Price, ending two days AFTER the auctions ended (so it started 20 days before the auctions started).
That shows beyond doubt that the auctions BEGAN AND ENDED during the same time as the items were Active as Fixed Price listings.
These are #9 and #10 of items I know were in both lists at the same time.

As a retired quality assurance manager, I find obvious programing errors to be annoying. Here's the latest, in a simplified version:
seller hub, marketing, advertising/ promoted listing sales report.
Qty sold : 5 Total Sales: 34 Fees: .33
Sales 6.5 fee .06 (three of these) 7.85 fee .08 6.65 fee .07 total fees individually .33
My eBay invoice is charging me .07 cents for each 6.5 sale and ends up for these 5 sales at .36 cents
Two different amounts for fees - apparently the sales report does not round up but the invoicing fee does.
Why?

I am someone who follows ebay policy to the letter. I do everything by the book and cut no corners.
With that said the items I sell are expensive and I tend to get a lot of buyers sending me offers though messages. Any acceptable offer is sent though the appropriate "send buyer an offer" feature by email which obviously allows the buyer to purchase though ebay.
However, many buyers include or try to include contact information. We either reject those or send the offer the appropriate way. But if I reject one how long do I have to wait to cancel a good til cancel listing?
Example. I had a buyer send me an offer to buy outside of ebay. I rejected the offer and told him that is a violation of ebay policy and we could not do such a thing. 3 weeks later the listing renewed and showed it had not had a sale for 16 months. I ended the listing and repriced it since there was a markdown sale and decreasing prices is temporary. Several hours later I get a message from ebay telling me I sold something outside of ebay. That was absolutely false. I called customer support and they read the message where I rejected the buyer, but said they couldn't help me because no action was taken against me, it was just a warning.
How do I end a good 'til cancelled listing where someone sent me an offer? How long do I need to wait to prevent getting such a violation in the future?
Hi @coinslabz26, you will almost always receive an educational warning when contact information is shared, even when you make it clear to the other party that you will not be selling outside of eBay. These are not considered violations, and you may receive many more in the future in instances where a buyer shares their contact info. If this was considered a violation on your account, you would see a final value fee for the transaction on your invoice.
If you are keeping your transactions on eBay, then these emails need not raise alarm. Any account level action (such as fees or restrictions/suspension) would be placed by an agent who has reviewed all the details. Though I cannot give you a baseline time frame like you are asking, I can say that you are taking the right steps and if corrective action is applied in error, we can help get it reviewed. This would not include the educational warning email, as this has no impact on your account (so there is no action to investigate/correct).

Hi,
The traffic report (and impressions) on seller hub again doesn't update... 😿
Now it's stuck on July 23.
Is this issue known? when it will be fixed?
Thanks in advance

Hi Chris - welcome to the Weekly Chat. 🙂
I'm not familiar with the promotion you mention, but I will do some research on it and reply to your thread later this afternoon!

I have been in an appeal with eBay for the past couple weeks. I recently sold an iPhone 7 plus to a buyer with a known scamming address (which turned out to be a freight forwarding company, shipping packages out of the US)
-Are freight forwarding addresses allowed on eBay?
-Buyer stated the logic board didn’t work (which it did). eBay forced me to accept the return, which I gladly did.
-As soon as I accepted the return, I had a package shipped to my door the next day that was supposed to be my phone.
-The buyer had actually dropshipped an amazon package to me containing a tiny package of SIM card tools. It was from an amazon warehouse in KY. Buyer was originally from New Castle, DE
-I went to my local USPS and received a Product Tracking Report, showing the weight of my phone that I shipped the buyer (1lb 2.2oz) vs the package he sent back to me (less than 1oz). eBay declined all my information and sided with the buyer.
-This buyer also has feedback stating that he scammed other people in a similar fashion. I also provided eBay extensive proof for everything. The buyer's address is all over the community forums here as a known scamming address as well as other websites.
I just want to know what you guys do to help sellers that suffer from scams like this? I have provided evidence, the buyer was refunded, my item wasn't returned. What else do you need from me? I want to continue to sell on the platform, and I want to make sure that I do everything I can to help you guys stop buyers like this from taking advantage of people. Based on the evidence I have provided, and the weight of the package, it is clear the buyer is taking advantage of and violating ebay return policies
Any suggestions on this one? Thanks!
Hi @goosegosnell, without reviewing the details of the return I can only give a general response. When a buyer provides tracking that shows a return is delivered then a refund is expected. There times when a buyer may be traveling and need to send a return from an alternate address. This isn't a cause for concern.
Since eBay never handles or inspects packages we will base our decision off of the information available on our site. This includes member to member messages, the reason a buyer selected when opening a return, and tracking status on the item. With that said, customer Service can review returns on a case by case basis to see what options may be available to assist a seller, so calling in is a good step to take.
There are additional protections available to seller's that offer free returns. They have the option providing a less than full refund (up to 50%) depending on the issue with the returned item. This enhanced protection will also be available to Top Rated Sellers that offer 30 days returns (does not have to be free returns). You can view more about this here.

Hi @vrykalak - you are able to list the same item as both an auction and a fixed price listing (there is no policy violation for doing so). If you were to choose the 'send to online auction' option from an unsold fixed price listing it would create a new listing with a new item number that would be your auction-style listing. The fixed price listing would stay in your unsold section because it was not relisted. Thanks!

That was a great explanation that gave a lot of clarity. Thank you very much for that. In hind site I think that is what the phone rep was trying to tell me, but did not communicate it quite so clearly. Many thanks!

In addition the impressions on the promoted listings pages are significantly higher (anywhere from 2x to 4x) and don't coincide to the trends for impressions on the performance page. One of these two graphs are wrong, maybe both.
The promoted listings impressions should always be lower than the total impressions on the performance page so this doesn't even pass a basic sniff test.

Thanks! I'll follow up again next week if there's no news before then.
Kinda-sorta along those same lines, do you folks have regularly-scheduled meetings (either face-to-face or video conferencing) with the Engineering people and other teams, or are the different topics discussed here and in the other groups being handled in email day-to-day? Are these issues being tracked by any kind of case number, so that, for example, when you follow up for status on something previously reported, they know which issue you're referring to? I get the impression that at least part of the time, they're leaving you hanging, without a clear idea of when you can expect an update from them on some given topic.
