Lately every single time, I sign into EBAy up pops a captiva or lock puzzle to get in . this is not necessary and sometimes after verification, it makes you verify again. WHY WHY WHY?

This just started to happen to me. I will add this to the list of reasons for my group to continue our epay buying boycott. I needed another Dewalt cordless grinder yesterday and paid $109 for it rather than $88 from a seller on epay. I did need it yesterday and the customer paid for the tool through my invoice so I didn't pay more.
GTC was the final straw for me. There are so many changes I think I have forgotten half of them. Having to play with a puzzle to log on four times in eight hours is ridiculous. I see this as another nail in the coffin for what used to be a decent platform for selling.

eBay's robot is not letting me print shipping label does not let me in after multiple sign in promps so I have to ship through paypal.
I was also prompted to sign in again when coming back to this board and now I am running my computer in Safe Mode to stop eBay's on~slot of sign in issues.

I am using MS7 w/IE
My computer grad Grandson showed me safe mode and that finally got me into this board without the on~slot of sign in issues that you guys are blaming on browser issues. The moment you start to side with the true alogorithm of the situation will perhaps prompt ebay to fix this horrible security set up.
I only have these button problems here at ebay.
No other site but ebay!

Anthony an ebay rep got back with me yesterday after noon following up our sign in complaint. He admitted that ebay has an issue with sign in and now see that it is not just me... I had the sign in issue to get back to this board with MS7/IE, tried chrome and they locked up, now I am back to IE w/MS7 in safe mode networking which sucks because printer function does not work for me in safe mode to print labels, so I have to print at paypal..... Anthony said he would follow up in another couple of days.

I have been using Firefox for 20 years. I am not changing browsers because eBay is poorly coded

Try being on the site and you switch to a different category and then you have to sign back in and start over again. This has been happening for months now.

The suggestion to try another browser is to test whether sign-in loop problems some folks are encountering are browser-related. If so, there may be things those folks can do to fix their browsers. But first they have to test things to find out what the problem is.
I am using Firefox, and currently not encountering problems signing in.
If you are using Internet Explorer 11, on the other hand, I would encourage switching to a different browser entirely.

That might be a sign that your browser is blocking cookies or you have a corrupt ebay.com cookie. You might want to check your cookie settings and possibly delete your ebay.com cookie and sign in again -- sometimes deleting all cookies is not sufficient if a cookie has been corrupted.
As a test, you could try signing in using a private or incognito window -- once you have signed in if you do not experience multiple sign-in requests when switching categories, that would indicate the original problem was related to your cookies or browser profile.

Two laptops, one desktop all running the latest version of Firefox on Windows 7, 8.1 and 10.
Please explain how it is my browser again.
I refuse to use IE or Chrome so if eBay can't get their act together I guess they don't want me buying on here.
I also called and was told it's a eBay problem and not my PC's problem.

Did I say it was your browser?
Some folks have indicated that they have had various problems with signing in. I made some general suggestions that have, at various times, worked for me.
I have no idea what your problem is.

ROCUAND I agree,
My Ebay rep is starting to admit it is their fault with the sign in issue.
Same problem for me here in Michigan since October 23 !!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
I could only get to this discussion using MS7/IE in Safe Mode Networking.
All I got in regular mode was sign in ~ sign in ~ sign in
Same with selling and print shipping labels that I have to print at pay pal with no sign in issues. I am loading pictures in the browse box:

SAFE MODE NETWORKING
My grandson computer grad said it is cheaper to put off a few clients then to pay tech to fix this mess !!! Again I am shipping through PayPal as ebay shipping button is not working for me.... asking me to sign in again then won't let me into my account!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
