search result only returns few items

Does anyone know what  might be an issue? 

For example, I'm searching car subwoofer and I see it shows 766 results for 10 inch subwoofer, but all I see is 5 items, not next page nothing... after 5 results I see bunch of ads

I've tried incognito window and I see all 766 results, once I login - only 5...

Are you using a browser or the app?

Using a browser, I also get about 766 results. At 100 items per page, the results span eight pages, which sounds about right.

If you are using a saved search in the eBay app, check to see if you are using the "Newly listed" filter. If that is checked, the results will show only new items that have been listed since the last time you have run the search. Uncheck that filter and save the search again to see all results.

Ditto, likewise, same here. Incognito works for me as well.   I'm using Chrome on a Win10 desktop.

I'm using Google Chrome on my mac.
I tried to log out and see if something wrong with my account, but I also see 5 items only.
But in incognito I see all 766 and 8 pages. Not sure what is going on

If the results look reasonable in an incognito browser window, try deleting your browser cache and see if that makes a difference.

In some cases, browser add-ons can cause issues -- recently a problem with an ad blocker prevented sold items from appearing in search.

Actually, I do recall a problem that resulted in only a handful of items appearing in a search. Changing the sort changed which items appeared. If  that is the case, try adding an exclusion term to your search like this:

10 inch subwoofer -octopus

Adding an exclusion term disables some search features -- you will have to change the category to "car subwoofers", or use this link:

I get only 728 results, since you lose some keyword substitutions by using an exclusion term.

Having the same issue.  No matter what I search for, I get 5 results and sometimes it's not even what I typed in the search bar.

I am unable to change "Best match" to " Newly listed" or any other option. This is only a problem searching in Ebay Motors.
